Strikes well, nice sparks, would recommend and use again. High quality and fair value, buy with confidence. Ferro rod is drilled to accept a lanyard. Lanyard included was a polyester type of braided paracord. Set includes striker and cord end. Unit is serviceable, simple and practical. Not the highest quality product but reasonable for the price.

I bought the Kaleduo 4 Inch Survival Ferrocerium Drilled Flint Fire Starter hoping for a solid backup fire tool for my camping and emergency kit, and it completely exceeded my expectations. This thing is a beast! The rod feels very well-made — nice hefty 4-inch length with a comfortable handle and the drilled flint striker works perfectly. On my first real test, I grabbed some dryer vent lint (classic tinder) and within just 4 strikes I had a solid spark shower that caught immediately and built into a roaring fire. That's faster than most ferro rods I've tried. The sparks are hot, bright, and plentiful even in slightly damp conditions. It's compact enough to throw in a pocket or pack but substantial enough that I feel confident it'll last through dozens (if not hundreds) of uses. Perfect for bushcraft, survival, backpacking, or just keeping in the truck for emergencies. If you're looking for a reliable, high-performance ferrocerium fire starter that actually delivers when you need it, this is it. Highly recommended — easily worth every penny. I took this with me on a camping trip and it worked great. It made a lot of sparks with just a few strikes, and it helped me get a fire going without much trouble. The handle gave me a good grip, even when my hands were a little cold. The cord made it easy to keep track of, and the striker felt solid. It seems well made and has held up after several uses. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a dependable fire starter for camping or emergency gear.

I guess it works fairly well good luck on getting any Sparks out of this thing if you have a bad hand or arm you have to press really really hard when you're scraping the feral rod I've got others that work better than this with less pressure so I'll give this three stars out of five I know it'll last a long time somewhat but if you get injured and it's one of your hands or wrists or whatever they get entered and good luck getting Sparks out of this thing whenever it's been raining and you need to really get a lot of spark to get a fire started.

This is not the best ferro rod I've owned but it functions so that's worth something. Unfortunately, the striker on the rod I received is not the same design as the one pictured here and doesn't work very well. I'm able to get it to spark but it takes a lot more work than it should due to the smooth, blunt edge on the striker. I was also surprised that this arrived as three pieces that I had to assemble myself. I was not able to get the plastic clip to close right and ended up just throwing it away and tying off the ends instead. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product as there are better ferro rods out there for the same price if not cheaper. They are also not sending the same product that they show in the pictures.
