I love this cereal. It is high in fiber and protein, and tastes good. It keeps its texture in milk, and does not turn to mush like All Bran.
I have bought, used, and loved what I think was called Kashi Go Original for a number of years. I especially appreciated its high fiber and low fat and sugar counts. Recent purchases, although marked “original,” have been quite different and not like the original I had been buying. I do not like the new formulation nearly as much as the old version. More important to me, my persnickety husband, who was never a great fan but who ate it anyway because I convinced him it was good for him, really doesn't like the new formulation and refuses to eat it. I am currently seeking a replacement. Unfortunately, for both me and the nice people at the company that made the Kashi Go Original, a product that I loved and that my husband thought was “okay,” I will no longer be including the new Kashi of any kind on my shopping list. So there!
I've eaten the original Kashi products for years and loved them but now they either taste like cardboard or are sickeningly artificially sweet. Really irritated that they've been cheapened with highly processed ingredients. I'm assuming the company is more interested in the mass market sales to new buyers vs the solid loyal core of buyers who wanted the quality products.
When the new boxes came out I thought it was just a new look. I usually purchase five boxes at a time; Kashi Go w/berries. My surprise came in the morning for breakfast. I've never tasted a worst cereal in my life. Where are the berries? It has no taste but somehow it tastes like sawdust. I wrote to the company with my complaints and wishing for the return of the old ceral. Their response was sorry here is a coupon go try another of our cereals.
I don't know what you did to my Toasted Berry Crisp but the change is horrible. The texture of the granola has changed completely and not in a good way. I'm very disappointed as I buy 2 boxes each week and now I'm stuck with 2 boxes of something I won't eat. I'm on the hunt for a new cereal😞
I have been purchasing the Kashi GO Chocolate Crunch cereal for a while and loved the chocolatey taste and crunch. Now with this new recipe it is so awful it doesn't deserve a rating. I had to put in a 1 star just to get the review posted. You must be using inexpensive, inferior products to make this cereal. I guess with the new Owners (Kellogg) they don't care about the consumers or the quality of their products. Won't be buying it again. I have switched to Cheerios Chocolate Oat Crunch.
I used to add original Kashi to my fruit and yogurt every morning for breakfast. I loved it so much that I would occasionally snack on the cereal by just grabbing a handful out of the box. Not anymore. I understand they've changed the recipe and it's awful. No flavor. Tastes like cardboard.
I had previously entered a review, but it appears Kashi has removed it from the site. I wanted to add to the chorus of voices saying, please bring back the old formulation. You had a wonderful cereal, and now it doesn't taste 5% as good as the old one. This is true of all the flavors of protein fiber cereal. For the first time in years, I had to start sampling other cereals, and fortunately I did find that Quaker protein granola is truly delicious! Not as good as the old kashi protein fiber cereal, but a thousand better than the current iteration.
Wow, is the new formula ever DISGUSTING! I never write reviews but I did a search for “Kashi stale” because the chocolate crunch tastes so stale and nasty. That's when I realized this was an intentional formula change. So gross. Will not buy again, and I've been buying this cereal for years.
I have been eating Kashi Go Toasted Berry Crisp virtually every morning for years. I just had my first bowl of the new formulation and could barely get through it. Why did you change the taste and texture of what was formerly a perfect (in my opinion) product? I'm looking for a new cereal.
