Everything fit properly looks good and burns well
Great for homes with lots of land so that fire is away from house as much as possible.
heavy duty very nice great price
Everything is getting thinner and cheaper. I had one just like this for about 10 years. The one I had was identical, but the bottom and top were all cast iron. It was very heavy. This one is a VERY good price. This one uses more sheet metal. It looks very nice. It is about the largest Chimenea I was able to find. It holds full size logs, most did not. I was able to get at least 6 pre-cut logs into the fire pit. It works fairly well. Once the fire is hot and the wind is mild the chimenea works well. My opinion is that this is a medium duty fire pit. It is not big enough to be a bonfire, but it is enough to keep you warm. It seems as though if it is used too hot or too long it degrades quickly. I will use some heat resistant paint if it flakes or rusts. My previous chimenea was rusted the entirety of the time i used it. I do not see this one lasting as long, but I sincerely hope I get many years of toasted marshmallows out of it.
We are pleased with the appearance and sturdiness. Having an easy-to-empty ash pan was a plus. Two suggestions: add a heat-resistant knob to the sliding "door" and go with a heavier rack. We ordered a solid, round, cast iron grate to replace the open, 2-part, lghter weight rack that was included.
We purchased this for a replacement of our old one and it's a lot smaller. We tried finding the same size we had before but couldn't find it anywhere. Wish it was larger.
The man who helped me when I called in to place the order was very nice and helpful. My husband says the chimenea was not as sturdy as the one we replaced. A little disappointed there.
This chimenea was used for burning papers with information on them, household burnables and junk wood in a restricted open burning residential area. I used it for seven years, but the last two years it was disintegrating by rust. I am content with its service and ordered a new one, the same model. The ash pan only lasted a couple years, so I made another one of aluminum. The first one was purchased from the store, the second on line.
Overall okay quality but the grate inside cracked on the first use. The base is very sturdy.
Very light gauge material, grate isn't cast iron Currently in contact with supplier for replacement door screen that didn't fit assembly
