My piggies love it! We have a little bin in the cage that I stuff full of this hay and they love getting inside of it and munching down. A good hay is important as it is a big part of a guinea pig's diet.
The only brand I wil buy for my Guinea Pigs! They love the smell as soon as I open the bag. I have been caring for rescuing Guinea Pigs for about 6 yrs.
We have three bunnies that we adore as if I gave birth to them lol, in this hay is just great. It's a lot cheaper than that PetSmart. And it's a lot easier to order online and have delivered them that stupid PetSmart app lol. My bunnies love this hay
I bought Kaytee Forte-diet all natural Timothy hay for a couple of wild rabbits outside living on my property. Where I live we have about two feet of snow on the ground, so it's pretty hard for the rabbits to scratch for food. I tried lettuce and carrots, but they wouldn't eat them. I thought I would try the Kaytee Timothy hay. They love it! I put out the amount I think they will be able to eat every night and it is gone in the morning. I will purchase another bag or two to get them through until some of this snow melts. Surely pet rabbits would love it too.
I Buy This Particular Product Of Hay Because My Lucky Really Really Love's This Hay, He Has To Have zit Every Day, Otherwise He's Screaming @ Me To Get Him His Hay. Lol
WalMart has the best price on this Timothy hay that I've been able to find. I like getting the big 96 oz bag because it saves money and cuts down on the amount of times we have to buy it. We've tried other brands of hay and this has been one of the best ones. Other hays will sometimes have a lot of long, hard pieces that our guinea pig won't eat and he'll just spread it out in his cage. Or other brands might have a bunch of smashed, powdery type of hay. However this brand always seems to be just right.
Occasionally I receive a bag of this hay that is IMO not Timothy hay the “hay” is stringy and brown resembles something you would find in a swamp or watery ditch and has a foul odor and I end up throwing it away rather than feeding it to my rabbit. I certainly wouldn't consume rotten food why would I expect my fur baby eat to eat rotten food. Overall though the bad batch of hay has been less than a handful of times, while an expensive disappointment I would still purchase Kaytee Timothy hay. Kaytee does make really great products I just wish they had better quality control for the hay.
Been buying this hay for my pets for years as their main diet, but the quality has really gone down to the point that I'm looking elsewhere for hay. My small rabbits have trouble eating this, because it's not soft and fragrant as before, now it seems stale, and the consistency is like a bag of hard sticks , and thay don't like it. They need hay in their diets, but this stuff has poked them in the eyes, and have had to see a vet. I try to soften the hay a little by crunching it in my hands before feeding them and seems to help... Is there any better hay in our future ? I grew up on a farm, so I'm hoping your future crops will be improving for us. Sincerely, David (loyal Kaytee fan for years)
the hay is yellow and straw like. Why would you n package this and sell it to people? This was a waste of my money. im on a budget, i cant waste money on low quality hay.
There was a huge black snake in my hay. I loosened the hay to put some in my rabbits cage unknowing i was INCHES from grabbing a snake! It ended up loose in my house! It’s hard to see in The hay but there’s an indentation where it was packed in. This has happened TWICE!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING
