The squirrels enjoyed this food as well. I would recommend this product for any type of bird as well as woodpeckers.

I can't believe I got some much product for such an inexpensive price! So far I have seen two woodpeckers on it, but it's only been out for a couple of hours. I would definitely recommend this product!

Any time during the day I can look out there and see a woodpecker chowing down on this cake. I always make sure I have backup as I don't want them to be without. Great product, will be repurchasing!!

I have lots of creatures that come into my yard looking for food. And this year is no exception because it's so dry here. I will be waiting a bit to put out only because I also have black bear searching out snack. They can destroy my feeders in 5 minutes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't going to get this particular bird food as I don't want Woodpeckers around our house. I feel like intentionally attracting them is like asking them to wake you up pecking when they decide not to leave. That being said- I put this cake out at the back of the yard and it was great. They stopped chasing the little birds away from my other feeder and stayed at the back of the yard to eat. They really liked the food and went through the cake quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we have woodpeckers hanging around every so often so I grabbed this for them so they don't always have to dig in the tree. its a decent cost for the size of product. unfortunately they haven't eaten it yet as I haven't seen them around lately but I'm sure they'll enjoy it in the winter when they visit!

I also am unsure if I put it on the house if the woodpecker will peck my house! I will place it farther away and research. The nutrition looks great for the birds and I think the price is super affordable. Can't wait to see the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm sure that this item works well if you have a larger cage feeder. however, I can't find the large cake feeder anywhere, in store or online. It is too large for a traditional suet feeder, and has become quite a mess when I try to use it in other ways by hanging or breaking into smaller pieces.
