[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kaytee Timothy Hay is a convenient, widely available hay option that can be suitable for pets—particularly when budget or accessibility is a factor. However, its consistency and quality seem variable, leading many experienced owners to explore alternatives.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In exchange for my honest review, I received this product for free from influenster and Kaytee. Always happy to share a VoxBox with my furry family members. That hay was nice and fluffy and fresh and smelled great. I felt the nutritional value is well worthy. My opinion based off my hamsters use was my hamster was happy to feed on her timothy hay...l would highly recommend this because she eats and gets picky if she's too picky she uses and plays with it for extra fluff on the ground. But this hay from Kaytee seemed like a great functional treat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although my bunnies don't prefer the 1st cut as it is "harder" than other hay, this is a must for their teeth. I put their hay in their litterbox for them to munch on. It does have a bit more dust/smaller bits but this brand is easily available at my local pet store.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My current piggy loves this stuff (all the guniea pigs I've had do too). It's a good quality with not a lot of dust with large big pieces. I like the size choices it comes in so you can buy what you need. I reccomend Kaytee Timothy hay to pet owners.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My chinchilla loves this hay, ALOT comes in this package. I thought it was kinda small at first but it's just really packed in there. It's got a few random things in there that she seems to enjoy as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's that time to clean the pygmy squirrel's cage. Today I am using the Timothy hay all natural by Kaytee. It does very well soaking up there messes without leaving a horrible stink. You can also use it on Pet, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. High in fiber to support digestive health. My favorite go too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought both the 1st cut and the 2nd cut of the Kaytee brand hay and I literally cannot tell the difference between appearance, length, and smell. It really does look like they put the same hay in each bag. I thought I was sent the wrong package when it first arrived since it was in a clear bag and looked nothing like the picture. There is not even a barcode on the package, but it does say Kaytee 1st cut on the bag with some nutritional value. The color of the hay and smell are very fresh and look natural. I love the length that this is cut, its great to grab a handful without grabbing too much or being messy. You get a lot for your buck with this bag since its very, very compressed. This will last a long time and my bunnies very much enjoyed this. They were trying to eat the hay through the bag as I filled their bin. I will buy this again and I recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good size product. Bunnies need their diet to consist of mostly hay. While my lop eared rabbit does eat this, I do prefer him to have the Oxbow brand over the Kaytee one. I think the Oxbow brand hay has better, fresher hay because Kaytee hay always seems dry and dusty. But Kaytee is still a good well known brand for small animals.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My guinea pigs love the Kaytee brand and especially the Timothy Hay. I would say the 1st cut variety took them a day to get used to, but they love it just as much as the 2nd cut. I would say it wouldn't hurt to try this option for your next round of food option.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging is convenient and the smell (or lack there of) made it easy to store inside the house/living area without issue. Chubby, the rabbit, ate it without issue but didn't seem to tolerate it well. Could be coincidence but I wouldn't buy it again for that reason.
