This is my fourth Sony TV. I currently own a 85" and now this 43" for my bedroom. The colors are crisp, it has decent sound, but the best thing I love is the remote controls everything. It runs my cable box, my apple tv box, and all the streaming services. I am done buying other brand tv's. Setup was a breeze, it connected to my home wifi right away and it connected to my cable box with no issues
I purchased this TV to replace my old Batavia , which I've had for over 15 years. As much as I loved my old friend this new model is a vast improvement. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles as the more expensive models, but for the price and what I need it's perfect.
I bought this product about 5-6 years ago, and it works perfectly.
I have bought several mid-sized Sony TVs in the last 3 years, and all of them are superior products, much better than other brands of mid-sized TVs I have used in hotels and friends' homes. I recently moved, so I purchased this additional Sony TV. I consider all of my Sony TVs to be state of the art, but this newest 43” has even better sound and smart features than the others. It seems even more intuitive. As far as I'm concerned, Sony picture quality is and always has been superior to all others.
Overall happy with purchase. Did not have much time research as my primary TV, a Panasonic plasma, stopped working. Purchased this the next day from what options were in stock. While I would have liked to go OLED, still just a bit too expensive for me. The picture quality is better than my old TV for my viewing conditions. Have not really evaluated off center viewing, so I can't speak to that. Black levels are acceptable. Responsiveness of the GoogleTV functions is quick and works well. Setup process works well, but does take some time. The remote is long and thin making it somewhat awkward, but I use a Logitech Harmony remote to control TV, home theater Blu-Ray/receiver and home theater PC. I would recommend and buy again based on my experience so far.
Purchased this tv about three weeks ago, very pleased with this item. This was an upgrade for us for our bedroom. Good picture, great volume even without a sound bar. This is my second purchase of a Sony tv, previously got a 65" Sony so pleased with that one that I decided on the same brand for my bedroom upgrade.
Purchased this television approximately ten months ago. Although this Sony 4K Ultra HD Smart TV may cost slightly more than other top brands such as Samsung, the extra cost is well worth it. This Sony - X80J model has a lot of features with separate Internet Ethernet connection for firmware/software upgrades.
Happy so far but was a little difficult getting it set up. Still not complete. Great picture %26 sound. It's my 3rd Sony over 38 years. Have been pleased with each one or I would not keep coming back. First one was fine just was ready for a newer model. Second one was 19 yrs old %26 sound went out. Cost for repair was way too much so decided to get this new one. Guess you would say I'm a happy Sony girl (of 70 years old).
Good picture and sound. Very, very difficult to operate. Channels not in order and takes forever to figure out. Guide does not help. I have two different controls one Sony and direct tv. Cannot get anything live or local on Sony. Have to switch to direct tv to watch favorite shows. Too complicated.
I bought this years ago so not sure why I get a review request now but I have had issues with it since purchase. Often the screen will flash a blinking white screen and I dont know the cause or the fix but a day or 2 later it will be fine. There are already dead pixels that have resulted in a black spot about a foot long across the middle of the screen but I guess for the amount of money you pay for a Sony TV that should be expected. I have had to factory reset countless times. Sometimes it just freezes and doesnt respond at all
