Ken's Steak House Chunky Blue Cheese Salad Dressing i put on my salad and use to dips chinken fingers, chicken wings, pizza, mozzarella sticks and more! it's the only type of dip and dressing i will use!
I bought this here because it was waaay cheaper than Amazon and Walmart could deliver it a lot faster. I normally buy fresh dressing but lately I have found it hard to get delivered to my house, so I started looking for a shelf-stable blue cheese dressing. I have tried many brands. Some brands I have had to toss the whole bottle. Other brands have been tolerable but not what I was looking for. Ken's has been the best so far. There are two things about Ken's that stand out The first is the thickness. I have found most brands to be too thin. The second is the sugar. Mixing sugar with blue cheese is just not appealing to me. Ken's has sugar in it but not much. Ken's is the least sweet of any of the shelf-stable brands I have tried, Kraft being the sweetest which is why I had to toss it. Ken's is not perfect but it meets my selection criteria better than any shelf-stable brand so far. I'll keep buying it until I find something better.
We usually get Bob's fresh (refrigerated) blue cheese dressing, but it's not available for delivery so we tried this, and also Ken's buttermilk ranch dressing. No, they aren't quite as good as premium fresh dressings, but we've been happily surprised with both. Darned good, and very reasonably priced. I'm back to get another three-pack of each.
Blue cheese is the favorite dressing flavor in our home, and we go through a LOT of it. Ken's Blue Cheese is by far the best bottled we have found. It is only a little more expensive that the store brands, but well worth the pennies per serving more that you will pay. It is rich and creamy without being too sour, with big chunks of cheese throughout. We are never without a backup bottle or two.
Finally, a blue cheese dressing that isn't oily or overly processed. Ken's Chunky Blue Cheese is loaded with big pieces of aged cheese and has a bold, rich flavor. It's thick enough to be a high-end dip for wings and veggies, but still pours beautifully over a salad. A staple in my fridge from now on!
This isn't my favorite Blue Cheese dressing, but it's better than most. It is nice and thick with generous small chunks. It is the taste that lets me down a little bit. My experience is there seems to be a background flavor that mutes the normal sharp taste of Blue Cheese. I use it on salad and on chicken, and it works well with both. My favorite is making the dressing from scratch, but Ken's is the one I normally have on hand.
The Taste profile is more like Roquefort which has a sharper taste than a blue cheese-labeled product. This makes the product taste extremely strong overpowering a delicate Romaine leaf. No noticeable chunks. Ken's is my go-to salad dressing choice, so it's fine but I most likely will not purchase again.
This is okay. This is the closest tasting blue cheese to the decent stuff that I've been able to find in a store. I liked that it wasn't sweet like other store bought kinds. You can taste some tanginess. This isn't chunky like it says on the bottle which was disappointing.
It doesn't taste like blue cheese at all. It has a weird taste that I did not like. I should have tasted it before I poured it on the salad that I made but I didn't. I had already poured it on it before I tried it. I threw the bottle away after I found out how it tasted.
Tried new bleu cheese dressing Kens brand for the first time when my Litehouse was unavailable I made a large fresh spinach salad with grilled chicken, fresh red onion %26 provolone cheese. I opened as a new bottle %26 added to the usually delicious salad %26 immediately notice a very strange sour, not creamy, plastic flavor. It ruined my salad. i couldn't finish it. read the ingredients to see why. "Less than 2% natural flavors". Many gave it great reviews, which goes to show how conditioned large companies can shape our taste buds. Anyone who has had homemade bleu cheese dressing can tell this tastes nothing like it should.
