Kensington Pro Fit 72355 Mouse Wired - Black Ps/2, Usb - Scroll Wheel (k72355us)

I wanted a PS/2 connection and forward/back buttons. This is one of the very few mouse products that fit those criteria. It's maybe just a little smaller than the average sized mouse (compared to what I've used in the Logitech and Microsoft product lines), but it fits me well. Originally, I bought the same style Kensington mouse that was termed "full size." I had to return the "full sized" mouse and get this one. These two are my first ever Kensington input products. I like them. Buttons feel right, response is precise, the mouse is light and should reduce fatigue bit it doesn't feel "cheap." In Window 7, no special driver is needed. The generic Microsoft mouse driver will automatically install and all buttons become functional. Note that the scroll wheel can be pressed and used as a button. The scroll wheel button works only in applications that are designed to use that function--most often as a "universal scroll." I surely wish universal scroll worked in Windows Explorer but it doesn't. I also can't get it to work in Firefox. Universal scroll, however, does work in Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat Reader. (Just Google "universal scroll" to see what that is.) It has a generous cord length and includes a USB to PS/2 adapter. How long will it last? That remains to be seen. When it breaks or wears out, I'll try to remember to come back here and add a review about that.

Didn't expect this to be this good. Great buy.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this mouse when I received it. The resolution on this thing is great. I could move the cursor all the way across a 27" wide screen monitor with a flick of the wrist. The only drawback is the extra mouse buttons are not assignable as they are in some models. I'm using the driver that loaded upon plug and play with Windows 7.

very happy with my purchase, the wired mouse is similar in size as the wireless mouse I was using, works well with the laptop, reason for buying the wired mouse to eliminate having to buy batteries all the time, also very good service from seller

I bought this mouse for the 5-button aspect so that I could have web page forward and back navagation at the ready. I also wanted a corded USB mouse specifically for use with my KVM switch. I'm a network engineer and have several servers running with a single control station. I was disappointed that it didn't work with my KVM, as it realy felt nice in my hand, moved smoothly across the mousing surface, and had the fetures I wanted at a fair price. Alas, I did have to return it as it didn't satisfy all my needs. If I only had a single PC to use it with, it would have been perfect.

too small! scroll button too far back

The mouse works fine but please read this and the other review which point out that the description is inaccurate: this is not a full size mouse. It is about 3/4 the size of a standard mouse and is exactly the size of the "mini" wireless mouse I bought this to replace.

The price is ok as far as a mouse goes. However this mouse IS NOT, I REPEAT NOT, a full sized gaming mouse. Its roughly the size of a travel mouse you purchase for a laptop. This mouse is so small it looks as if it were designed for a child maybe 4 or 5 years old. The shape is right for a gaming mouse but is WAY to small. After using it for 5 minutes my hand ached so badly I had to get an ice pack. I had to grip it with my finger tips because it was so small. Very disappointed. Almost to the point of being angry. Thank god I can take it back to the local store instead of having to waste money on mailing it back.

Mouse too small for hubby's hand. I tried using but only ergonomic for right handers. No software to adjust pointer speed.
