This is a great bike for the price! It has a large, comfortable seat, front and rear hand brakes, and changeable gears. It has a nice smooth ride and has a comfortable riding position. I got the bike for a Christmas gift and they loved it. Like I said, it is an awesome buy for the price, you really can't beat it. I definitely recommend it!
I walked into Walmart looking for a basic bike, one that would be good on any road surface and with just a few gears. This one had the features I wanted (simple) and the comfy looking wide seat. Then I saw the price and was sold. Even if it lasts a year I got my money's worth. I have had it now for a month and have ridden it 3 or 4 times and just love it...if you're a bike snob, then move along. If you just want the kind of bike you may have had as a kid, then this one may be for you. Just be sure it is assembled correctly as most poor reviews are based on 'operator error'.
I'm 5'3" and this bike fits me just fine. The seat is removable and easily adjustable. It's very comfortable. The front wheel does not come off, so it makes it a little hard to load and unload in the car, but I would take an easily adjustable seat over a removable front wheel any day! The gears change by a twisting device on the right handlebar, so that's easy.
I needed something to keep up with my 7 year old speed demon. I bought this bike a week ago and love it! Its kind of a hybrid between a cruiser and a mountain bike. Its comfortable. Gears switch seamlessly and the brakes are perfect. Great for cruising around the neighborhood. I had shopped around for a week and found this in my local store so i didn't have it shipped. They already had it built to buy and ride.
This Bike is FABULOUS! It is a seven speed, with great hand brakes, a conveniently adjustable and very sturdy comfortable, classy seat, STUNNING GOOD LOOKS, and excellent gears and parts. I am so thrilled. The quality for the price is outstanding. The racy brake lines are black and white checkered flag-ish and quite gorgeous, the overall pale blue and cream color is lovely, the styling is classic and updated at the same time. The price is amazing when one considers all the high quality makers' like Shimano and Vitesse . who contributed parts to this KENT bicycle. KENT has been making beautiful bikes for over a century. I am best pleased.
The bicycle was purchased as a Christmas gift for my 18 year old granddaughter who plans to use it to commute to college classes. It was assembled at my local Walmart. It did need some adjustments as front brake was not engaging. ....minor things. She loves it and commented that it was more than she expected. It is nice and sturdy and I hope she gets the use out of it she hopes for. Great product for the price.
It's an all around great entry level/ occasional use bike
Bought this as a replacement for a bike that was stolen. The owner wanted the same bike that she previously received for Christmas. Seems to be the one.
Bike needed just a bit of adjustment once we got it but apart from that it rides really well. My wife likes it compared to her old bike and thinks its super comfortable!
I bought this bike and had it 13 days. At first I loved it, but started having problems pretty quickly. Many of the problems were related to the fact that it wasn't well suited to me, like I couldn't adjust the seat and handlebars enough to easily reach the handlebars, and my legs were too short for me to be able to get on and off easily. The seat was very uncomfortable, could have been partly due to the unnatural posture I had to have to read the handlebars, but it was still very hard. I replaced the seat and the replacement was better. However, the bolts all over the bike wouldn't stay tightened, and that had nothing to with me being short. The chain came off a few times, when I hit a bump, while peddling... that wasn't as bad as when it suddenly jumped off when I was going to take off. The sudden loss of tension on the pedal caused me to lose my balance and fall. I scraped my knee and after an hour or so my wrist, shoulder and tailbone were throbbed, but at first I didn't know I had hurt my shoulder and wriSt, so I got the chain back on and tried to ride. A half mile down the road, while going 11 miles an hour, the handlebars suddenly loosened and rotated downward. I had to hold them up just to be able to reach the brakes. I was so angry and frustrated I just took it back.
