I love that this adds a pop of color, without the commitment of permanently changing your hair. This is easy to apply, lasts a few washes, and then when the color is dull- you can do it all over again!
I purchased this item to get rid of the yellow tones in my hair. I am currently growing out my gray and had lightened the dark part for an easier transition. My colorist has used toner and glazes to keep the gray look. However, I didn't want to keep spending $100+ every month. After 2 uses, once on wet hair for 5 minutes and once for 20 minutes on dry hair, my color is a perfect light ash. It blends perfectly with my natural gray. I definitely recommend applying the product on dry hair since the color will saturate much better. It also has a very nice scent and leaves your hair soft and moisturized. Definitely recommend!
OMG!!! Love this product from top to the bottom. Ordered this shampoo yesterday, received it today and I cannot explain how Im happy and how beautiful my hair is look like right now. My hairdresser dyed my hair two weeks ago into a cooper color and it faded away in one week, i have short but very thick hair, i loved my color on the begging, but when it faded so fast it was a different story, this shampoo is amazing and its a life changer. I applied it over my dry hair for 25-30 min and rinse, wow absolutely love it, rich cooper color, soft hair, 5 star product
This stuff is a miracle worker. I dye my own hair and this last go I used a different toner and it made it super brassy. I didnt want to process it again so I tried every purple shampoo/conditioner I could and nothing was working. I used this stuff today and my hair looks awesome! I will definitely be buying this again.
UPDATE: November 2021: So I got all excited because I received a notification that the price had been dropped--significantly. Yay! So I bought another bottle. I received it and laughed. It's significantly cheaper because it's significantly smaller. That's no savings!!Rose Gold : I must put out the caution that if your complexion is in the Italian or Asian range--this color will make your face look sallow. Rose Gold would be amazing on blonde hair and a fair/rosey complexion. This product deposits color gradually. Don't expect a dramatic saturation of color. That's not what this is, so don't expect that. The color it deposits lasts through several washings. So, would be good to augment fading dyes from "permanent" and semi-permanent colorings. Or, to add a little alternate color highlight in there. Just be careful. Know your colors!I use it on grey and white hair, in strips, for a little fun flair. I like to have a little pastel color in there. I often use the purple, rose gold and blue. Because this is a gradual coloring, the colors softly blend. When I want no color, I just stop using it. I'm interested to try the silvery color w purple and blue...!I've not used it on wet hair, just dry. I have noticed that the color won't "take" nearest to the root (i.e. the part where your hair has natural oil, even only 1 day). So, not great for "root touch ups", and best on clean hair without very much "product" in it, like gels, sprays, etc. Also, for more color take, leave it in for 20 minutes or so. For that scary first try--leave it in for 5 to 10 minutes. Everyone's hair has differences of porousness.Fun to use! Doesn't damage hair! You can use gloves, especially for use with the darker colors like purple, but honestly--if you're getting in the shower, it'll wash off! Protect your sink and walls though!
Had to take away one star because although I put a generous amount on full a 30 minutes (on dry hair), then slowy added water and worked it throughout all of my hair until it was deeply saturated ...rinsed...I hardly noticed a difference after I dried it. (Rose Gold on medium blond hair previously dyed with Loreal Preference 7RB Dark Rose Blond)
The scent is almost nonexistent, which is great. It does leave my hair soft and that is also great. As for color depositing, thats a bust. Doesnt matter how much I apply, results are faint after numerous applications. Would nit buy again. Purchased the rose gold, by the way
I was pretty disappointed in this product for its color-depositing ability. It was a decent conditioner, but I didn't not see any color change in my hair after using the product ~5 times. I even tried letting it sit on my hair for 30 mins and nothing. I have silver/grey dyed hair and upkeep is tough - was hoping this would help but wasn't so lucky!
So I love the way it makes my hair feel. Its good conditioner it is not color depositing in my case. I recently bleached and toned my hair to get rid of some blue (Im already naturally blonde), and then started using the Silver overtone. Ive been using it for about 6 weeks, every 2-3 days, even put it on dry hair and let it sit 20+ minutes one time... the color has not changed even slightly. Im tempted to try another color but I dont want to spend $40 on something that has already kinda shown me its a waste ya know? Im disappointed.
It didn't do anything for my hair. I was expecting for it to help maintain hair tone, but acted like a regular condition and even my reg. Condition is better than this. It's pretty expensive for such a tiny bottle that doesn't do what it's suppose to. I don't even find myself reaching for it. I may as well just Toss it. Its a waste of money.
