Keystone 12,000 BTU 115-volt Window Air Conditioner with Remote, White, KSTAW12BE

I have an open plan so I was concerned about it cooling such an open area, but I was concerned for no reason. It works so well that even the rooms down the hall are benefiting from the cool air.

This ac is quieter than my last 18,000 btu ac it's nice save me and my family during this heat wave we're having right now works great no issues at all

Keeps our 23ft. travel trailer nice and cool. Arrived by fed ex undamaged and fast. The 6000 btu keystone window air conditioner was easy to install in the push out window with a 1×4 board across it. Great purchase with a remote, window kit and a thermostat for $150.

This A/C certainly blows out cold air. It cools my entire downstairs which consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and bathroom. It states it cools up to 1,000 square feet and it's true. It has a removable chassis so you can install it in an exterior wall or a window. Mine is in a window. It requires a special 230-volt/25-amp electrical outlet and not the standard 115 volt. It's easy to operate and has a remote which is nice. This AC is a bit louder than my last one but it's not TOO loud.

The machine runs quiet and smooth. It does a good job of maintaining the temperature you set with one exception: The one thing I dislike about it is the fan will stop running when the thermostat temperature is reached. This is unlike any other window air conditioners I've ever used. The stoppage of the fan causes the room temperature to rise quickly.

I don't have central AC and the two window ACs I do have are just not able to keep up with the heat waves we are having now. I added this unit and now the temperature inside the house is at least tolerable. I deducted one star because it arrived with quite a bit of damage to the fins.

I bought this a/c for the bedroom because the other one just up and died. We run the a/c in the bedroom all year long. My husband freezes and I sweat until I am dripping wet. I thought from looking at the photos that the air vent would point up towards the ceiling more but it doesn't. When you try and turn it off, you are not sure if it is or not.

Air conditioner finally arrived unboxed it had a dent in the side of it, and we had to go buy the hardware to install it in the window the directions said it was supposed to come with little screws to assemble the frame around it. It did not we had to go buy some and got it installed and the air conditioner is working good.

The item doesn't cool as it is supposed to. I have tried to reach out to their warranty department and I have not been able to contact anyone. Walmart shipped this and it came in a damaged box - ie some AC parts broken as well.

im not sure if installer ruined it but grill is all messed up on outside. it only cools 1 room and is to heavy for us to return. walmart books installer through Angis and he certainly was not up to the job, unboxed it and then put it on my dolly to get in house. spent alot for both installation and air conditioner and not happy.
