Unit packaged well and received without any damage. I had an old unit that went bad and this was a replacement. We pretty much just swapped them out since bracket holes were already drilled so we just put new hardware on and slide unit in place. Working well since.
We don't have double hung windows, so I looked around for a unit that would fit my bedroom window, and this unit, and the price, are an excellent buy. I knew as soon as I saw it, then ran it, this thing is solid.. my room is like a meat locker. Definitely recommend you buy...
Easy to install, fairly quiet compared to our other ac, added funtions are fantastic, kerps the whole house comfortable! by far much better than expected! will definitely buy another. remote is grest too features are added plus
Easy installation instructions. comes with everything I needed even the metal ac holder to set the ac on! all the surrounding foam and sealing components that went around the ac. works awesome! Very nice ac and looks great!
Live at the beach and all my windows are vertical. Glad I found this one. It doesn't use ton of power and worked perfectly.
Blows out cold air just like we wanted, cools down living room. Does the job well
The best and reliable
I gave it a four star because it came in a broken box and it was missing some pieces including the remote. but we decided to keep it anyway and my son is fixing it and trying to get it to stay in the window we had financed through affirm and I know it takes forever to get another one if you send it back so we're going to try to keep this one.
It worked for one full summer and most of a second, then abruptly stopped cooling. For several years there has only been one manufacturer and one model of these 10,000 BTU casement units. There are different front panels with different brand names and button arrangements, but it's all exactly the same extremely low-quality hardware in the back. We've been through 4 or 5 of these in the past 8 or so years and every single one has failed because a crack forms, the coolant leaks, and the design rules out repair as a practical option since no relevant spare parts are made available. In the long run it would probably be more affordable to replace the casement window with a "normal" one than to keep purchasing these. Until the window is eventually replaced, we treat the extended warranty fee like a modest air conditioning subscription fee and use that warranty (not the manufacturer's warranty) to recover most of the purchase cost on each failed unit.
It came damaged. The back end was smashed in., the piece that frames it to keep.air out from around came cracked the batteries for the remote came smashed! My electrician was already here doing the pre installation stuff because I needed this AC for the next day so he check it and it worked so since I would have to pay him a second trip out here fee I said install it but it looks terrible and now I have to go get rustoleum paint because he said it's going to rust fast and bad because the paint it cracked! This is such a bummer he had to use white heavy duty tape to seal around the unit because the crack frame was useless!! This is so unacceptable for the price I paid for this unit. Pictures don't look nearly as bad as in person!!!
