This distiller has been working great so far. I use it almost every day and pleased that it makes a full gallon, is easy to use and the water tastes good. I like that it comes with a glass container to hold the distilled water, unlike most units out there. It does generate a lot of heat, so in the winter I'll set it up in the kitchen to make use of the heat, but for now I'm distilling water in my laundry room. I close the door and the noise is very minimal.

I've used this countertop water distiller about 10 times now. A couple of things you need to be aware of. First off it's actually a Vevor branded water distiller. Second is you'll need to run at least 5 or 6 cycles through before you can drink the water as it holds a very nasty taste at first. I'm thinking it must be residue left over in the manufacturing process. HOWEVER, once that taste is gone from that point on the water that this distiller makes is incredibly clean and tastes absolutely wonderful!! If you're worried about all the minerals that are taken out of the water because of the distillation process, all you need to do is add about a eighth or less of a teaspoon of pink Himalayan salt to the glass water pitcher, it's so little you can't taste the salt but the minerals that come off the salt makes the water taste even more fantastic. The unit itself is really built well. Unlike the cheaper versions that have a plastic fan for cooling, this has a stainless steel fan. It also has temperature control and timer control on the unit. Plus it has a few safety features that will ease your mind. Plus with it only using 750 watts of power, you could easily pack this camping if you had a bigger power bank. Imagine just dipping up water from any river any pond any source, stagnant or not, putting it through this machine and having clean safe drinking water for you and your family while you're camping! All in all would I recommend this unit? Without hesitation!

Amazingly fast compared to doing it without a distiller. First few times the water smelled funny but after continued use, the smell no longer remained. Very happy with product.
