This product is a good choice for beginners. It is very reasonably priced and easily assembled. It is sturdier than I expected and fits right under a downspout. We have had a number of showers recently and it is working like a charm. We have not yet had to use any water collected so I cannot address any of that. It is very plain but practical.
This 55 gallon rain barrel is and looks/works great. Heavy duty material with nise faucet spouts for draining or water transfer. If not in use it can be collapsed for storage in a small space- you won't have a big ugly plastic 55 gallon drum/barrel to deal with, Over, it is an affordable and practical solution for me at a lower cost than a bulky hard plastic barrel.
What I didn't know but should have is that it should be on a solid surface. So I ordered pavers to put under it and level it out. It was easy to put together and I'm 74 years old , so I would think anyone can do it. I haven't gotten my pavers yet or I would have sent a picture. We had a big rain not long after I put it out and it was FULL! It saves me money on my water bill so I'm a happy camper!
Couldn't find the holes for the poles, stupid me, they just blended in with the fabric when collapsed, other wise it very nice and made of good quality
I love this rain barrel. It was easy to set up, and is now full after 2 rainy days. 53 gallons out of the sky in 2 days. Also. the price can not be beat. Buy it.
It's made super well, and will last a while (even in this heat)! It was really hard to get the silver leg pegs on, so we just left them off. Seems to work just fine! :)
The container works perfectly, and the nozzles on opposite side is very accessible to water your plants. The last valve when the water is low, you will have to put it on top of something elevated in order to drain out the last of the water.
It's hard to say long term how this will be but, after a couple of weeks with it, it's been great. It was easy to assemble and collected rain water well. Probably will get another one
I ordered 2 of these and one was missing the leg platform. But other than that they are well made and priced right.
Easy to set up, and I like that it collapses for winter storage. A 4 because the hose attachments don't fit a standard hose and the faucet style spout will not fit your hose either. The cover could also be made better by making the whole thing a screen, not just a small opening.
