The spout was not metal so it felt like it could break if you tightened it too tightly and it wasn't quite a gallon and that's not what I needed it for
It fails at the most important job, keeping the liquid in the container and $35 fail!!! Additionally, the spout is too high, so once you get to the 1/3 mark, you have to tip it, and then at about 1/4 full, you can only get the liquid out by unscrewing the top and pouring, which is problematic due to the shape. This looks good, but fails in every way. The glass jar is a good quality, thick glass, but the spout (2 of them are provided) is a cheap piece of plastic garbage. This leaks from the spout, the opening of the spout, and if I did not toss the box, it would be going back.
It is too small for the purpose I needed it for. I bought a larger item that I will be keeping.
