It was very firm, may need to remove stuffing to your liking. I am returning because I don't love this pregnancy pillow style. I'm going for the “J” shape instead of “U” shape. I felt like this was too bulky and too much for my sleep needs. A little too claustrophobic for me. I like to sleep with my own head pillow, too, which I can't do with this pillow.
