Best waterer for winter! Keeps water from freezing. When gets below 0 will need to check to make sure top doesnt freeze and chickens run out of liquid water.

Time and sun had damaged our old tank which we'd had about 5 years, this spring we dropped it and it cracked. New tank is perfect, we LOVE these waterers. We've got the heated option which of course we don't need this time of year but "winter is coming". Also love that the hens cannot perch on top of this and make messes.

I bought this as a spare for my heated duck waterer. I love the design of this tank - easy to bring into the house to fill, easy-ish to clean. We'll see how it does in summer with algae growth, but so far I have no complaints at all, and it provides enough water for an entire day, even with my three crazy ducks doing their best to make giant mud puddles.

This is the best waterer I have ever found. It has replaced many others that just didn't do the job. It is awkward to fill so I use a bucket to hold it up as I fill, but otherwise EVERYTHING about this heated waterer is far superior to others I have used. I have 4 of them and never worry that my birds will have frozen water or that I'll pull a muscle hauling buckets.

Easy to fill and transport. No small caps to lose. Tray disassembles for easy cleaning. Only negative is you cant really get into the jug itself to clean with a sponge so there could be buildup...but since it is so easy to empty and fill it is convenient enough to keep up with and just shake in some detergent more often.

It is great having a spare tank for my waterer! If you decide to sell a spare cap - I would love that, too! I am happy that if fit perfectly since my base is several years old ( and going strong!!

Simple to use, keeps water heated, easy to clean..

Bought this as a second tank for our waterer. This way we can bring a fresh one to the coop and bring the other one back in. Only complaint is that the plug doesn't quite seal as good as our original one. Otherwise these tanks are built very well.

Makes a claim that it is perch less but my chickens perch on it all the time. Would be better if the plug would open as it is put down on the spike.

I hate this waterer. Impossible to clean the inside of the container since the opening is so small and there's no way to get around the opening because of the angle. Horrible design. You will regret buying it. Negative 10 stars
