Kichler 4 1/2"W Architectural Bronze Louvered LED Step Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a Beautiful and much needed step OR porch Light that let you know if something or someone is on the porch when you come up, i have security lights and this also help it stay on even when my motion light go out my family member who work at night can see when she come in and it make her feel safer that no critters are next to the door with her coming in! this took sometime installing but my husband had it done within a couple of minute he said it was Easy if you know what you doing and this come with a pamplet that tell you about the limited10 year Warranty so please read it and if you might need to hired someone to install this all the info are in the box! this is a really Nice Light for Safety and pathway.

The light output is bright, so it's great for a long hallway or stairwell. I wouldn't recommend it for a bedroom, because it might be too bright for some people. It is NOT dimmable. It's really intended to be on all the time. It would be nice if a vertical plate were also included so that it could be used to replace a standard outlet. It must be mounted horizontally. Overall, a great step light!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best invention ever! Its an automatic LED light!! It can go right in between, or beside your steps, and makes it so easy!! I love that it only uses the power when its dark with the LED feature! My kids are terrified of the dark, and its also hard to see to get down steps without turning on an overhead! This makes it convient, and its not big, or bulky like some lights. I LOVE the modern design!

I was amazed at the light it gave out. Its the perfect amount of light and me and my family are really enjoying it. The bronze color makes it look expensive and it fits in with my decor. I did this during a remodel. The instillation took a little time but the end result was a very nice effect and added a classic look to the base of the steps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this on the landing on my basement stairs, where there is no natural light available. Installation was very straighforward, even if you don't have much experience with wiring. The wall box is about 2 feet off the floor and this height provides a good spread of light to illuminate the surrounding stairs. The color temperature is a pleasant warm white on the light color scale. The louvered cover directs the bright LED light downward, away from your eyes. One feature that would be nice to have is a way to adjust the brightness. Another feature that might be beneficial is an ambient light sensor, to toggle the lights on or off when deemed necessary. However, the unit uses very little power (~1.6 Watts), making any power savings very miniscule. Overall, it's a nice looking product that is easy to install and does its job well.
