Kidde Permanent 5-Key Keysafe, Spin Dial, Titanium Color

Ok so everyone has lost or forgotten their home key at one point or other. I have teens so they are always leaving their keys behind and I've had to run back home and let them in. This gadget has SAVED us in so many ways! We placed it hidden and bolted it down with special screws that go through concrete so that no one will just run with it. I love how deep it is so you can place multiple keys or even other small items in case you need to. This is also a great tool for guest or pool houses. I need a second for my detached shed. It is super easy to install, easy to set a personalized code and very heavy duty. I know that when I sell my home I will also leave one of these accessible in case I have someone that wants to see the house that doesn't have access to a Supra key. Highly recommend this product; just wish my parents had one for me back in the day.

I put this in a secret place with a spare key so that my neighbor and my kids could get into my home when needed and I am supremely pleased at the great quality of this locking key box. I have already told friends about it so they could get one for themselves.

We've always hidden our Emergency Key in the garage, simply placing it in an envelope, which we then put in our tool box. Now, with the Kidde, we've bolted the Keysafe to a metal shelf, and then placed boxes in front of it. We also placed it on the lowest shelf, making if exceptionally difficult to locate. Now, we feel secure, knowing our neighbor can access our home, if the need ever arises and others would have an exceptionally difficult time locating our spare key, let alone breaking into the vault.

This little key safe is awesome! Super easy to use and very convenient. I use at our house for spare keys and those times when family comes to visit but you will not be home in time for their arrival. I would definitely recommend this product its made of quality material and built to last.

I was a little intimidated when I got this on how to set the code. The directions are great and so easy to follow. I had no trouble setting it at all. I love the fact it has a hook on the front keypad part so it is hard to lose. Easy to mount as well. Heavy and durable.

This is a heavy duty lock box. It has some heft to it and seems made well. I got this to keep in our enclosed part of our deck in case any of us lose our house keys. This is easy to screw mount into wood. I don't recommend mounting this to sheetrock, even if you use wall anchors. The combination can be set fairly easy and the box won't lock if the pin is not set properly. There is a little clip on the inside of the lid/door. This is what the key gets clipped to. The clip sometimes gets in the way when inserting the lid back on. I feel like the lid/door could've been a bit bigger to accommodate the keys better. As long as you're using a standard size key, it should be fine.

Although a little tricky to initially set up, this lock box is a great way to keep your spare keys safe so that you never lock yourself out again. Setup was a bit confusing, but the included instructions go over everything you need to set it up. It comes without a password, so right away you need to set one. I got confused and on my first attempt managed to set it to a combination that I could not remember due to the fact that you needed to enter a combinatiom of 5-7 numbers that are all different from each other. Luckily, the instructions go over how to reset the combination. You simply turn over the lid, remove the plastic "screwdriver", and turn in a CLOCKWISE direction the combination you'd like in the exact oder you want them. Once set, it is easy to enter your password and access the lock box. Before closing you also need to punch in the password again, which I think is a great feature because if you mess up the initial password combination like I did, you wouldn't be able to close the lid- and your way to reset the password. The box feels extraordinarily heavy for its size, so it would definitely need to be mounted to something sturdy, like a tree or solid wall. All mounting hardware is included, but I opted to just discretely hide if in my garden in case I ever lock myself out. The buttons feel rather odd to press, and I could be wrong but I see them being prone to rust if left outside so I will be keeping mine covered. Overall, I really like this lock box but wish the instructions were a little bit more clear and user-friendly on how to set the initial combination.

This is a review for Kidde's mounted 5-key lockbox with a push button combination lock. The concept is great. This is a small titanium colored metal box that is guaranteed to never rust. It can mount on an flat wall or surface with the four screws provided. It has 10 numbered push buttons to create any code desired between five to seven digits. Each number in the code can only be used once. The lockbox holds up to five keys which is perfect for my residence. So far, I have two keys to my house and one to my car locked in the box for emergencies. It does provide a sense of security. Also, peace of mind is attained as it becomes impossible to lock myself out of anything. After setting the code, it is entered once to remove the lid and entered again to replace it. That was easier said than done. The numbers next to the buttons are the same color as the box. This can make them difficult to see. That theme continues on the inside while setting the arrows for the code. They are also the same color. I recommend Kidde's mounted 5-key lockbox with a push button combination lock. The security and peace of mind is worth the price. A few color changes on the numbers and arrows could take this product to the next level.

I have never seen anything like this before. it looks pretty neat and seems sturdy. We still plan to bolt it where it won't be noticeable because I'm not 100% sure it is indestructible. Love the idea of hiding keys this way. Much better than just under something!

I have repeatedly tried to set the combination on this, even asked family members to try it. We cannot get the latch to come down completely. The directions are not very clear. The buttons on the back which you need to turn to set the combination are not very clear to know you've done it correctly. Thankfully I didn't screw the box part onto my wall yet, because I can't get the door part back on.
