Kidde Sealed Lithium Battery Power Smoke Alarm - I9010 in White

It was cheap, like 11.00. I haven't installed it yet. But I wasn't gonna pay 60.00 for two. SO I got one for 11.00 and one for 9.00 or 10.00. I like that we never have to replace the battery.

Not having to change the batteries every six months is amazing now when the battery wears out in 10 years, I will toss and buy a new Smoke alarm! The alarm is very loud so I don't have to worry about not hearing it and it doesn't go off every five minutes only if it detects smoke and I did test it with fake smoke. It WORKS!!!

Easy to install in my basement. I like that the occasional blinking light lets me know it is still running. Getting two at once also meant I installed both since I was on a roll ;)

I only cancelled this order because my brother-in-law purchased what I needed so that he could install it for me. The Kidde Combo Smoke/CO alarm works great! I bought this house in 2014 and the alarms have worked all this time. The new Kidde alarm has a 10-year battery. I have two alarms, one for each side of my home. Nobody could sleep through this alarm should it go off. This alarm was hard-wired when the house was built.

I needed a smoke detected. And wallmart had what I wanted.

I QUESTION HOW A BATTERY CAN LAST 10 YEARS IN THE SMOKE ALARM BUT BATTERIES CANT LAST A DAY WITHOUT BEING CHARGED OR REPLACED IN EVERYTHING ELSE

The battery for this was already expired and sold to me. when it stopped working. When i contacted the manufacturer, they refused to honor it because it was outdated. So I decided to try to find the purchase date which eas December of 2024. I went from the date installed in December of 2024 until i tried to replace it WITH NO PROTECTION. Walmart needs to check their supy date and the manufacturer needs to honor their product. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SMOKE DETECTOR.

Alarm was purchased in January 2025, and was was set to expire in February 2025. We did not realize this until they came to inspect our rental and let us know the alarm we had just purchased was about to expire (it's supposed to be good for ten years). We had already tossed the packaging so we could not return the alarm --> a complete waste of money. Shame on the manufacturer for keeping that item on the shelf, and on Walmart for selling it.

Pick wasn't worth it. Much easier and faster to go to Lowes. I needed another one and found Lowes to be cheaper and faster.
