KidKraft Metropolis Wooden Train Set & Table with 100 Pieces and Storage Drawer, Espresso

This table was a great buy. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a train table. The only problem I had was with the shipping. The carrier destroyed the box it came in which caused damage to some of the parts. I contacted KidKraft customer service and they sent me all new replacement parts free of charge. Now that's excellent customer service. I look forward to making more purchase from their product line.

Excellent and well made. Solid table. Big Thomas trains do not fit tracks especially at bridges, but medal ones are a go! My two year old loves this and plays with it daily!!

I recommend this with the disclaimer that the track doesn't hold together real well and the drawer is a little wonky. My 3 year old is still enjoying it.

We purchased this for our grandsons (ages 3 and 1). Overall the quality was acceptable for the money we paid (i.e. it is pressed board but we expect the kids will get several years of play). After reading other reviews, we did expect the kids to destroy the set-up (which they did). This immediately stopped the play until the adults could put everything back together again. After seeing how fast the set-up was destroyed, we made the decision to glue the track / all the supports to the table as was suggested on some of the reviews. We also glued the tracks to each other. After gluing, we had to shave the track joints in order for the trains / cars to move through the track smoothly. We did not glue down the stop signs / trees, etc. After that was done, the kids came back to play again and again. An interesting side affect from all the gluing is that the table appeared to be more sturdy. We are very happy with the purchase.

My 2 1/2 yr old LOVES this train table! It's very nice too with the cherry wood drawer on the bottom. Matches our decor. It's larger than I thought, but it is a good thing. Very well made. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is there is" a lot" of pieces that go on train set that easily come off. But we drilled and glued down every piece except the trains and planes. It worked like a charm! This worked for our kids since they are 1 and 2 1/2 yrs old. I'm sure for older kids you wouldn't have to glue things down since they are more careful with toys. But other than that its an excellent train table for the price!!

This Train Table has made my 5yr old's Christmas! It's nice and BIG. Would have given a 5 star review but feel like the bottom drawer should be secured under table and not just pushed under.

we bought this for the train mostly. we wanted a table that had a train track on it. the table is nice. i love how big the drawer underneath is, it holdes a lot of toys. the only problem i have is the track. it doesn't connect right and one big piece doesn't even fit. that piece is different from the rest of the track. it sticks out like a sore thumb. other than that its nice.

One side of the table arrived broken in the middle.. Few pieces of the accessories were missing. I did not call yet to request a replacement. The box arrived in the states and it had all tapes around the edges which means that the box was previously opened or for some reason ripped. The table was a gift for my grand kids in Canada. I hope I get a replacement without problems. Otherwise the table looks nice and my twin three years old grand kids liked it.

i had bought this for my 2 year old grandson fir Christmas and when his father tried putting it together Christmas Eve the hardware was missing to assemble some if the train tracks and accessories. Nothing coukd be done at that point. Paid alot for an item ti be missing pieces. Now we have to wait until a store is open to go buy screws for hi. ti play with it. I would buy kidkraft brand products, but not through wal mart. We opened this product thankfully in time before Christmas. This was supposed to be our childrens big surprise present from Santa. However to no avail, we were shipped the wrong parts to assemble this product, We contacted Kidkraft and they said that they would expedite the missing pieces with no problem in time before Christmas day! The problem is we are still waiting because wal mart canceled the order in process due to having the opposite shipping address vs. the billing address noted for order. DESPITE the fact we gave the rep to Kidkraft the address we wanted it shipped too. this has been a very disappointing experience, and lesson was learned! Just an after thought why does the website when ordering need a phone # when they are not even going to use it?!? Wouldn't having a phone # in this situation be great to actually use, and call it if there are any important questions like: Verifying the shipping address!!!
