KidKraft Outdoor Covered Wooden Sandbox with Bins and Striped Canopy

This sandbox is great!!! It's well made and sturdy. Only suggestion would be to treat the wood once you get it.

This sandbox is amazing. My 7 year old and 17 month old love it equally. Customer service is just as amazing too. I received wrong cover for the sandbox but they were super quick in sending me the right one. Thank you so much for making such amazing products and matching them with your equally awesome service. ❤

Bought this for my grandson. He loves it and thats what matters most next to safety. It is sturdy, even adults can sit on the sides and play too. Cleaver storage is so handy for the sand toys. Love the canopy its cute and gives us a shady spot to play in when the sun is high and hot. They did show a blue tarp that covers the sand, but came with a gray holey tarp not ideal for keeping sand dry. All in all id buy it again!

The sandbox is great! My only issue was that it was delivered without the hardware. I was unable to put the sandbox together for over a week because I had to wait on the hardware. It was also very difficult to get through to customer service to take care of this. I even went online and followed instruction in the manual to order missing parts online, but the website wasn't working properly. When I finally got through to customer service, the woman who helped me was wonderful and did an excellent job. I got the hardware Fed-Ex to me within a week.

Build is solid and the size is good. The plastic buckets are great for water and the storage bins/seats are really useful. The canopy means more playtime on the hot days. Some negatives: The canopy holds water after a rain and the liner is plastic instead of mesh and didn't fit correctly. The mesh cover for the sand also doesn't fit well and leaves sand exposed on the sides. Despite these issues our kiddo is loving it and so are we.

The instructions are only photos and very confusing. The wood is soft and thin. Many of the pieces do not fit together. Cover doesnt cover all the sand.

My daughter called me while putting this together to say it was a nightmare. A number of pieces were missing drill holes. For instance, one side would have three drill holes, but the other side only two. So she had to line up the pieces to determine placement for drilling the third hole. Customer service is only open Mon-Fri, so she could not get phone support when trying to build it on a weekend. She got half way thru the steps on the instructions after 3-4 hours, but ran out of time before it got dark. I was surprised to hear this, as I'd purchased and assembled a play kitchen from this manufacturer, and it went together like a dream. But this was not the case with this item. Poor quality control. I suggested we return it, but my daughter felt that it'd be more of a pain to take it apart and repack it than try to finish cobbling it together the next day. From my point of view, I paid way too much for this based on what a pain it's been to put it together. Not a good value.

No cover. Have to have a hard cover. Cats will come n use as a litter box.
