KidKraft Windale Wooden Swing Set / Playset

This used to come in three boxes in 2020. Now in 2021 Walmart orders it from KidKraft as four boxes. I never got all the boxes because Walmart's ordering system still only has the old three box SKU numbers in their system. Notice at the bottom of the details in the parts listing there are four boxes described. I have had to send back three orders; a nightmare. KidKraft cannot sell me only box three of four. It's ridiculous. I have most of the parts except the biggest pieces of wood and it's been over four months trying to get my kid this Christmas present. Probably the last time I ever give Walmart my $$.

Shipping was fairly quick. Took my fiancé 14 hours to put together, 10 one day and 4 another... working by himself. Everything lined up well. My year old daughter absolutely loves it. As far as sturdy-ness it's clearly not a gorilla swing set but for the price it's as sturdy as it will get. I'd recommend to a friend and I would purchase again.

It's a great playhouse for the cost. There was some splitting in the wood when it was being put together, but it's been a few months and it's held up great. My kids are 4 and 2, they love it. We purchased a baby swing because the swings are interchangeable, which is nice! Overall, happy with the purchas.

I just put this set together over the weekend. It took me most of Saturday and Sunday to complete. I was able to complete about 80% of the assembly by myself. For a few of the intermediary steps, installing the completed roof and swing assembly, and some final leveling, I needed a second set of hands to assist me. The directions were logical and very easy to follow. The directions give good descriptions of the wood pieces and hardware required for each step and even say which box/bag they can be found in. Only one word of caution.....The wood is soft, so don't force anything and don't over-tighten the screws and bolts. Although the individual wood pieces are soft, the completed swing set appears to be very sturdy. My daughter and some of her cousins played on it yesterday and today and love it. At this point, I'd certainly recommend it, but I can only base my recommendation on the installation process and how much fun the kids have had on it since it was completed.

The structure is not so bad. Assembly instruction is good. A few screws are added as spares. The wood is soft and does not look bulletproof but should suit smaller kids. Kids like it. Not much else to complain. I added few 2x4 at the base to make it more sturdy and isolate it from the ground.

Having two young boys, a play area for the background is a necessity. We researched wooden swing sets for a month until we decided on this one. The delivery came pretty quick which was nice...the setup was another story. The instructions say 2 people working together should take 8-10 hours to complete, day 1 we worked on it for about 5 hours and day 2 took a solid 12 hours. While the pieces are well marked, we did have some issues with the hardware-we were shorted 2 wood screws and the drill bit did not work on another wood screw that had over 40+ screws. So-that required a trip to the hardware store to get screws that would finish the set without having to do everything manually. One the setup was complete-it was an amazing sense of accomplishment. It looks great and fits well for out backyard. Overall a good purchase-just wish we didn't have those hardware issues.

This is a great value play set. Approximately 30-40% less expensive than other comparables. However, the savings in price will cost you your time! It does take a very long time to build this play set. Conservative estimates would be 6-8 hours if you're quick and efficient, with one other person. I would expect the average time to complete is more like 12 hours. You will spend multiple days working on this play structure with so many tiny pieces! Enjoy!

Well the price is unbelievable good. So I ordered it right away. Then came the issues. Only box 1 of 4 came in. To fix this I had to send the one box back and then wait to see if you all will send all four boxes as stated. I think that it would have been easier and cheaper for you all to just send the other three boxes

I ordered this late November 2020 as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It did not arrive in time for Christmas. It was a 3 shipment delivery. I got 2 parts. 3rd part never arrived. Contacted customer service. Received refund for missing part. Requested pick up of the two remaining pieces, they still have not picked up. Looks like I may be out $400 for the useless pieces we have. Walmart is not willing to meet their end of the obligation. Would not recommend.

I had to place order 2 times for this set, 1 they canceled after they sent me only 1 box then item was out of stock, 2nd time they say they sent everything but I am missing all the wood! How do you build it with no wood? Also the wood is super weak.. terrible experience. Went elsewhere
