KidKraft Windale Wooden Swing Set / Playset

This used to come in three boxes in 2020. Now in 2021 Walmart orders it from KidKraft as four boxes. I never got all the boxes because Walmart's ordering system still only has the old three box SKU numbers in their system. Notice at the bottom of the details in the parts listing there are four boxes described. I have had to send back three orders; a nightmare. KidKraft cannot sell me only box three of four. It's ridiculous. I have most of the parts except the biggest pieces of wood and it's been over four months trying to get my kid this Christmas present. Probably the last time I ever give Walmart my $$.

Besides from it being a lot of fasteners and pieces, instructions were easy to follow and it took me the better part of a day to build it. I had a couple of pieces of wood with cracks or splits and they resolved my issues quickly and to my satisfaction. It not a huge set but my granddaughter loves it.

It's a great playhouse for the cost. There was some splitting in the wood when it was being put together, but it's been a few months and it's held up great. My kids are 4 and 2, they love it. We purchased a baby swing because the swings are interchangeable, which is nice! Overall, happy with the purchas.

I just put this set together over the weekend. It took me most of Saturday and Sunday to complete. I was able to complete about 80% of the assembly by myself. For a few of the intermediary steps, installing the completed roof and swing assembly, and some final leveling, I needed a second set of hands to assist me. The directions were logical and very easy to follow. The directions give good descriptions of the wood pieces and hardware required for each step and even say which box/bag they can be found in. Only one word of caution.....The wood is soft, so don't force anything and don't over-tighten the screws and bolts. Although the individual wood pieces are soft, the completed swing set appears to be very sturdy. My daughter and some of her cousins played on it yesterday and today and love it. At this point, I'd certainly recommend it, but I can only base my recommendation on the installation process and how much fun the kids have had on it since it was completed.

I was very impressed with the quality of this product for the price. Pay close attention when assembling. If you are inexperienced at building, plan on it taking additional time to assembly. My wife and I were able to assemble in approximately 10 hours total.

This is a great value play set. Approximately 30-40% less expensive than other comparables. However, the savings in price will cost you your time! It does take a very long time to build this play set. Conservative estimates would be 6-8 hours if you're quick and efficient, with one other person. I would expect the average time to complete is more like 12 hours. You will spend multiple days working on this play structure with so many tiny pieces! Enjoy!

This playgrounds look is nice but some of the cedar wood pieces were bent and chipped in the package. It comes in 3 separate pieces . The plastic slide was cracked . I am sure most of this damage happened during shipping but of course wasn't inspected thoroughly .

Well the price is unbelievable good. So I ordered it right away. Then came the issues. Only box 1 of 4 came in. To fix this I had to send the one box back and then wait to see if you all will send all four boxes as stated. I think that it would have been easier and cheaper for you all to just send the other three boxes

I ordered this late November 2020 as a Christmas gift for my daughter. It did not arrive in time for Christmas. It was a 3 shipment delivery. I got 2 parts. 3rd part never arrived. Contacted customer service. Received refund for missing part. Requested pick up of the two remaining pieces, they still have not picked up. Looks like I may be out $400 for the useless pieces we have. Walmart is not willing to meet their end of the obligation. Would not recommend.

Worse decision to order this. I received one box on time, one box a week late and the third box never delivered. We put the swing set together without the third box (which was the slide) and the boards are bent, which causes the whole thing to be wobbly and unstable. This item cost too much money to have these issues.
