It is great for kids, keeps small spills off the tablet, but it does muffle the sound from the speakers a bit, its not as clear sounding as it was before. Protects the tablet really well though, my 21 month old son has dropped it and sat on it numerous times and its still looking good! lol Maybe don't let kids stand on the screen part though its venerable to everything, except, small spills and scratches. The screen protector top bit does look a bit filmy, it doesn't cling to the screen in a solid way so you'll see some spots that aren't stuck to the screen sometimes, but when you are using it you will barely notice them, so if you're an OCD or really observant person it might bother you, but if it's mostly for your child, like me, I'm not super worried about it.
