Kikkoman Japanese Style Bread Crumbs, 8 oz (Pack of 12)

I watch a lot of the cooking shows and the recipes for fried foods often have Panko breadcrumbs in them. I did not think there was going to be that big of a difference in breadcrumbs but there really is. From fancy dishes to plain hamburgers, these are wonderful. They stick to the food so much better than regular breadcrumbs, it is amazing. They have a nice crunch to them too.

I have always envied how deep fried butterflied shrimp look in a Japanese restaurant, or how fried chicken is always crunchy and tasty at Popeye. When I make them at home, the shrimp or the chicken go in one direction and the batter floats away on the grease in another. But NO MORE! I found out that if you use an egg white plus 2 Tbs cornstarch and brush it over the pieces and roll them in the Panko.... And then drop them into hot coconut oil, they come out just like I always dreamed they would. Beautiful. Not burned. Not separated. Every single piece is Just beautiful. I wish someone would have told me that years ago. Panko adheres beautifully and in my opinion, is the best coating there is. Thanks, Wal-Mart for carrying the large box online. So easy to order.
