Kikkoman Japanese Style Tempura Batter Mix - 5 lbs

This is the BEST "hands down" fish 'n chips BATTER MIX ever!!! I fish various cod fish, and other fish and make fish 'n chips very often....have been doing this for many years....have eaten other peoples, restaurants, local fish fries, etc.....experimented with many batter recipes......etc......This is the best commercially available batter I have found over all these years......Mix it to a thickness of medium thick pancake batter (NOT THIN) thicker is the only correct way. Soak your fillets in cool water and wash and rinse until water is clear. Pat dry. Drop fillet in batter and let soak for a minute. Carefully lay your batter covered fillet in hot vegetable oil and fry on both sides for a few minutes (when golden brown) turn only once. Make sure batter is thick so fish is coated well. Make sure oil is hot before frying fish. Serve with malt vinegar and tarter sauce. This batter is always super light and crunchy. Just like English style or H Salt fish 'n Chips.....YOU WILL LOVE IT.....just mix with water....THE BEST!!!
