I bought the Kinder's Carnitas Mexican Seasoning %26 Spice Mix and made the Crispy Pork Carnita's for the first time. I think the pork shoulder butt I bought had a lot of fat on it and with the added water according to the pack, it may have diluted the flavor. The flavor was very mild, so I think for me I would use at least two packs to get more flavor. I cooked the meat in a slow cooker and the meat came out very tender. After cooking I out it under the broiler to get it a little crispy and we made tacos with corn tortilla's. We all enjoyed the tacos and would try this seasoning pack again. First time using this rub and I really liked it! I love that it comes in 1 oz packet so it’s easy to use! I used it on meat that I was grilling and taste was good! Only negative is that it’s a bit too salty for my taste but can always be diluted if making carnitas I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.

I REALLY THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE A GREAT SEASONING FOR MY CARNITAS, UT IT HAS WAY TOO MUCH CUMIN. MY CARNITAS ENDED UP TASTING LIKE SOME WEIRD PORK TACO MEAT, AND VERY SALTY, EVEN W/ PLENTY OF TOPPINGS. JUST MAKE YOUR OWN MARINADE OR SEASONONG BLEND
