You know, I bought this mainly because the bottle looked cool on the shelf. I'm a sucker for that retro gold label design, and I figured even if the sauce was just okay, at least my fridge would look a little more stylish. Well, turns out the inside lives up to the outside. I purchased this for our weekend grilling, specifically looking for something thicker than your standard BBQ sauce to use as a fry dip. This stuff is exactly that—it's got a mustard-base tang to it that cuts through the sweetness, so it doesn't taste like you're just eating liquid sugar. I used it on some crinkle-cut fries and then later slathered it on a smoked sausage, and it held up perfectly without dripping everywhere. The 15.5 oz squeeze bottle is a good size too; big enough to last a few cookouts but still easy to grip with messy hands. My only small gripe is that the flavor is a little more "golden" (mustardy) than straight Kansas City-style sweet. If you're expecting a heavy molasses hit, this isn't it. But for someone who likes a little zing, it's great. I'm hoping the bottle design holds up. Sometimes these squeeze tops get clogged after a few uses, but so far, so good. If you want a change from the usual red stuff, this is worth a shot.
I tried this sauce and was really impressed with the flavor. It has a great balance of sweet, tangy, and smoky, with just the right amount of mustard-style zest. I used it as a dip for chicken tenders and also brushed it on grilled chicken, and it worked perfectly both ways. The texture is smooth and not too thick, making it super versatile for dipping, marinating, or grilling. This sauce has definitely earned a spot in my fridge.
I tried the Golden BBQ sauce on some wheat thins. I really enjoyed the flavor with the perfect combination of sweet and tang. I'm really looking forward to trying this on some chicken breasts tomorrow night. I also plan on using this instead of mayonnaise on a Turkey Sandwich next week. I look forward to trying other flavors of Kinders Dipping Sauces.
This is a really interesting and complex new BBQ flavor from Kinders. It is Smokey with a sweet flavor that is a bit tangy. It tastes like a perfect blend of BBq sauce and sweet and sour sauce. We tried this as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets as well as a wing sauce for some wings off the grill. Everyone really enjoyed the flavor.
The taste of this dipping sauce is out of this world!!! I love the combination of sweet and tangy and it has a really nice smoky flavor. My whole family enjoyed this as a dip for grilled chicken tonight, as well as a dip for roasted potatoes. I also like how easy it is to squeeze and use, and the large quantity. I would absolutely recommend this delicious bbq dipping sauce for your next meal!
I really liked this Golden BBQ dipping sauce! I used it for dipping chicken, peppers, and carrots. I have not tried cooking with it yet because it may burn in the oven, but I think I will try baking chicken and glazing it with this sauce. I like BBQ sauces generally, and my wife prefers mustardy sauces, so this was a great compromise!
I would say this is as described, "sweet and tangy". It is a tasty barbecue sauce, I was able to eat it on some homemade fried chicken, which was fantastic. One note that might just be us, but the bottle was very difficult to open initially. Once we got into it, it was very enjoyable.
This was onrre of the best BBQ sauces I've ever had. It was extremely sweet, slightly smokey, and moderately tangy. It had just the right amount mustard in the sauce to provide that taste and tang without the overpowering mustard taste. This is going to be my new go-to nugget dipping sauce.
This is a really delicious dipping cause that goes perfect with chicken tenders or chicken bites. It has a sweet, yet tangy flavor that makes food taste extra good. My kids also like to add it to their vegetables. A little bit goes a long way! The price is reasonable for a sauce like this from a reputable brand.
This was my first time trying Kinders dipping sauce, but I am familiar with other products in their line, which I have enjoyed. Right off the bat, it's a real struggle to get the cap off to get to the inner seal for removal. After actually injuring my hand trying to remove it while using a grippy for about 10 minutes, I resorted to a large pair of adjustable pliers - this worked. Once the cap was off, the seal was a bit easier to remove. I suspected this Golden BBQ sauce would likely have mustard in it, I was correct. Mustard is my kryptonite. This sauce is on the thin side, which makes drizzling super easy. I tried this on some chicken tenders, and I found the sauce to be as sweet as an average BBQ sauce and mildly spicy. There is definitely a mustard flavor, though prominent to me, I did find it tolerable. For those that enjoy mustard on occasion, this is a great dipping sauce for you if you can get it open!
