Kindling Cracker Firewood Kindling Splitter

The kindling cracker works exactly as described, I have made small bundles that I split and tied with tobacco twine for starting fires and it works great, I have made larger split pieces that I add to the stove in order to build a nice coal bed for the larger wood. I wish I had bought one of these years ago, I will likely buy the XL kindling cracker for next year's wood burning season.

Bought about a month ago and use it for my backyard fire pit. Since fire pit tends toward smaller ( 3-4 inch diameter) logs I have a ready supply to feed through the splitter. You will need a 3 lb hammer in order to drive the logs down onto the splitting blade. Have not had to sharpen it yet but blade is very accessible. Perfect companion to our fire pit.
