Kinetic Sand, SquishMotion Playset with 1lb Play Sand, Stamper & 5 Tools

I purchased this online from a Salvation Army "Angle Tree Child" Christmas wish list. It was delivered directly to them so I did not personally see it, however I'm rating it a 5 star because I trust the Salvation Army would not pick any toys that weren't top notch!

i was skeptical at first when o bought this for my kids but i wound up Being a super good choice. easy to clean up after, does not dry up. the colors mix together bit dont become a gross muddy color. and the feel of the sand is really fun too.

One of my son's fav Xmas presents.. before getting this he could grab a pile of sand and put it on the counter, and then put his face up to the edge of the counter so he was eye level with the surface to watch the sand “melt” and move… so I knew he would absolutely love this. The only thing is that the tool to push down the sand and create the impression was sorta hard for him to do without me, but he ended up improvising and it worked out perfectly. He's 5yo so maybe he's slightly too young but it was fine

Bought this for my two year old who literally spends hours playing with this! It keeps her busy and she loves building with the sand. It's fairly easy to clean up (unless it gets on carpet) and easy to put away. Just wish it came with a bit more sand

Bought this as a gift for my neighbor's daughter, so I do not have any input on a variety of factors. And, since the mother never even acknowledge the gift or shared her daughter's level of interest of satisfaction, I have no idea whether she liked it or not. I simply liked the medium. And, since I know that they travel state-to-state each week to visit the father, I wanted something that she could bring with her. I believe that it is appropriate. Yet, in the end, each child has their own personality and tastes. So, even if I knew what I expressed not to know, that means nothing, to a significant degree, whether another child will like it or not.

This set kept the attention of the kids for a long time. It's got a lot of sand for the money, much thought was put into details such as embossed diagrams of what direction to store the molds so that the case closes and I love how everything can be saved and kept together in the easy transport case. The kids loved the shark the best followed by the flower and the shoe print. Some people complain about the sand colors mixing together but ours just turned a brown color that looks like the color from the 3 lb bag that you can buy separately. The only drawback is that over time the pillow is getting flat and it's taking longer for it to pop back up and provide fast motion to the sand designs. I would buy this set again anytime!

Was great fun and we loved playing with it, of course didn't come with a lot of sand and when you mix the colors that's it you can't I mix then of course! The commercials for this product made it look alot easier the some of the shapes were to do, but all in all very fun and very cool!

My son loves kinetic sand, so I figured he would love the different molds and stamper. The stamper was a bit confusing to put together, and my son didn't use it much, but he did enjoy the sand. I'm not sure why the stamp pad is rounded instead of flat. It made it difficult to stack enough sand onto the pad to get a good stamp print. The sand kept falling over the rounded sides of the stamper and falling off. Overall, kinetic sand it always entertaining, but this wasn't the best set for my son.

Maybe for an older kid? My daughter is 7. The old design is terrible. You can't even carry it by the handle without it opening. The sand is just loose in the container and opened in the bottom of my shopping bag leaving a mess. It's difficult to close for a younger child and really doesn't stay closed. I wish the sand was in sealed packaging when purchasing.

Regular sand is great but this colored version the sand was dry not mold able and not easier to pick back up which was wasteful and had to be vacuumed up.
