This is one of my favorite organic flours because it makes everything taste soooooo good! Most places want $9 or more for 5 lbs so this is a super sweet deal for 2 lbs. Many thankus again Wal-Mart for helping to save us money :-)
Growing up, we always used a bleached competitor. After moving to New England in 1970, I started using KAF based on a friend's advice, and have used it since. The Organic flour is even better! The baking results are tasty, predictable, and the quality of the product is consistent. Whether for my mother's brownie recipe, homemade pancake batter, dredging or baking bread, the organic all-purpose flour is my go-to flour because of the taste, crumb, and consistent results.
This is my go-to flour. Because my local store did not reliably have it on hand (even prior to the Covid-19 run on flour!), I've been ordering directly from KAF. Since I bake all our breads (bagels, sandwich, sourdough, waffles, pancakes, English muffins...you get the gist) I want a reliable flour on hand. This is it.
I love King Arthur's Organic AP Flour. It works well for everything: cookies, pancakes, fried chicken, crackers. We use organic flour to avoid any pesticide residues from commercially grown grain. It may not matter here and there, but it adds up over a lifetime!
Due to pandemic shortages last year, I bought store brand flour. The difference in quality was so apparent. What a lesson. I made a coffee cake and my husband asked what did I do, it didn't taste as good as usual. It didn't. As soon as I was able to get it, I ran back to KA, and my baking is back on course. The good news is that the store stuff is compostable.
I love this flour. I have an allergy problem with regular flours. So, this is wonderful. I use it for baking as well as making Hungarian dumplings with my spaetzle maker. They consistency is always even, and best of all they do not bloat me or give me gas. Best Flours ever. I also use your flours for bread machine.
I like to bake bread for many reasons but one is to ensure the quality of all the ingredients that are in the final product. I have tried other brands but you cannot beat King Arthur. My bread always turns out the way i had hoped and the flavor is wonderful. The only flour I will buy is King Arthur.
It's the only flour I bake with. I noticed the difference in quality of my baked goods immediately when I used a lesser quality flour. From that experience I knew that King Arthur flours were the key to having my recipes turn out consistently delicious.
I use this flour a lot and I love it. I saw it was on sale for a really good price. When it came I noticed that the expiration date was March 2022 I figured I should use it pretty quick. The cake recipe called for sifted dry ingredients, well I sifted and a maggot was in the flour. I through out the flour.
The flower was packaged well and everything was delivered well except I called as soon as I realized they were sending it to the wrong address six hours away. They said no problem it hadn't been shipped out yet and they would change the address. They didn't and it went to Michigan and I am in Pennsylvania. I had to scrounge somebody up to confiscate it. And then drive it all the way back to Pennsylvania. Otherwise not so bad
