This is one of my favorite organic flours because it makes everything taste soooooo good! Most places want $9 or more for 5 lbs so this is a super sweet deal for 2 lbs. Many thankus again Wal-Mart for helping to save us money :-)
Living in the country and not being able to get organic flour on a regular basis, King Arthur has enabled me to bake bread and other good things for my family. Between the wonderful flour and some really good recipes, my oven is getting a workout most every day.
I had been using Bob's Red Mill but when it came unavailable I started using King Arthur organic all purpose and bread flour. King Arthur is a superior product and my baking and bread is much better than Bob's. I won't be purchasing anything other than King Arthur. My only regret is they still use the old school flour bags and don't have resealable ones.
I, like many stuck at home during this COVID-19 quarantine, dove into the world of sourdough baking. I was pleased to find that this AP flour works wonderfully in both starter and dough, and led to some DELICIOUS sourdough bread. Shout out to Will Wheaton for his King Arthur recommendation!
The Organic King Arthur APF is not available in our local shopping stores here in Alaska. I'm glad to be able to order it online. It is a great APF. I use it most often in bread making and usually make a pre-ferment in my bread. This flour exceeded my expectations. The finished product developed great deep color and a great crumb. I usually make a lean dough, and I was surprised at the depth of flavor in the bread. Needless to say, it doesn't last long at my house. The toast it makes, the next day, is to die for. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll love it.
I had never ordered KA organic all purpose before, being very satisfied with the regular KA all purpose at my grocery. When those stocks ran out, I decided to try the organic with my on line order during the Pi day special. It's very nice. It's just as good in cookies and I like it better in my rye bread. It lets the flavor of the rye through without flattening it out, and strengthens the crumb well.
It took longer than i expected to receive my starter and organic flour, but once i finally hot started i was very pleased. Ive made several loaves of bread and used the discard to make sourdough waffles. All excellent. The ingredients performed as ivhad hoped. I used up the organic flour and made a couole of loaves using a generic unbleached flour. There is no comparison.ill stick with your unbleached organic flours. My starter is sustained with only your organic flour and fresh spring water. Im very happy!
For decades, this has been my favorite flour. When the pandemic hit, our local small mom and pop grocery store still had this and the whole wheat flours ... until city-folk learned of our small town on the highway! Fortunately, our little grocery set limits, and they are still able to serve everyone all the staples, including King Arthur flours. Because I have developed food allergies, many King Arthur ingredients and labelling are key to my own good health. While we purchase online, too, knowing this trustworthy source of the highest quality goods thrives allows us to provide for our needier neighbors and helps to ease our mental stress during difficult times.
I highly recommend King Arthur flour. I thought I was gluten intolerant and so switched to Einkorn flour which has gluten but is organic and non-GMO but is imported. Then I switched to King Arthur Organic flour and love it! It has gluten but is organic and is American made and readily available. I have had no sensitivity at all to King Arthur flour!
I use this flour a lot and I love it. I saw it was on sale for a really good price. When it came I noticed that the expiration date was March 2022 I figured I should use it pretty quick. The cake recipe called for sifted dry ingredients, well I sifted and a maggot was in the flour. I through out the flour.
