Great classic movie that's a must-see! Made in 1933 so special effects are not as sophisticated as they are today, but still well done and part of the movie's nostalgic appeal. Picture quality is good, and this movie is a real value at an affordable price. The DVD arrived quickly and in good condition. So happy that Walmart sells so many classic films!

I LOVE this movie of king Kong To me it's the best one they ever made.I've watched this movie since I was a little girl of 9 yrs. old that a lot of yrs. It's my favoritest movie ever.

brings back lots of memories

This was a well put together movie. Don't own it, but I love it. I watched it when I was younger and still to this day whenever it come on AMC. Definately a classic.

what a classic. an adventure with a mysterious island, prehistoric creatures, and a lesson about letting animals be free. would have given 5 stars except that they had a small monkey tied up at the beginning.

The film transfer was exceedingly grainy at times, and did not hold up well on a high definition display. However, considering the age of the film, this may be acceptable (although I have seen video transfers of other movies of the same age and even older that were much clearer). My main complaint is the utter lack of special features. This disc includes an audio commentary with Ray Harryhausen, as well as interpolated interviews with some of the films stars. However, other than the commentary (and a few trailers), this DVD is barren.

It skips and freezes. There are no visible scratches on the disk, but the movie is unwatchable. Too many freezes to count.

I was excited to receive this DVD, but when I opened the bag, I found the cover was busted into several pieces.
