We live in Texas in a two story house and to keep it all cool especially at night we have to freeze out the whole house and use a ton of energy. We set this unit up in our second story bedroom so that we could expend energy just in our room to keep it very chilly and we let the rest of the house stay a lot warmer than that. It was easy to setup and seems to work great! It's also a pretty slick design.
