Kingston XS2000 2TB Pocket-sized High Performance Portable SSD with USB-C SX2000/2000G

This XS2000 has shown great speed and reliability. I am very pleased with it and recommend it to others to use in situations where the speed to storage and access are required.

Speed through the thunderbolt was about 850, I would have thought it to max out. Still fast though!

Very small, I like that. So far it works as it should. I hope to see an 8TB SSD soon.

I got this to transfer photps from a jump drive. It works great. And its fast.

Just finished filling and am impressed with speed, so I ordered a 4TB.

So far very happy with the purchase. The best about this drive is size. However, my laptop is not showing 36mb/sec speed during data transfer. I will try again and see if it's really fast. Only giving 4 Star due to limited speed, as I was expecting at least 1000ms/sec. :)

Great size, capacity and initial speed. Slows drastically when writing numerous, large files. Gets quite warm when transferring large amounts of files .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kingston XS2000 more than meets my needs. With 500gb it holds all storage for my creative art, and game files. It is a fast, reliable solid state drive with great transfer speed. Especially convenient during travel. Made of plastic and metal, it is lightweight, and easy to move about. The size is perfect. It easily fits in your bag without taking up room. This comes with a 12” usb-c to usb-c cable, and a stretchy rubber protection sleeve that is removable. The sleeve slips on/off easily, and provides protection from big dust particles, wind, rain, dirt etc. This little, convenient SSD performs well.

Its great if you are not using it for continuously long times. It overheats and slows down.

FAR from as fast as they claim at writing new files... In fact, it is rather slow in my opinion, however, once they are on the drive, it is lightning fast. AND, unlike the competition's USB units, it has not crashed on me or lost data... so it is acceptable.
