Quality product

iHerb customer September 13, 2024

I have been using this product as part of the Cutler protocol for removing heavy metals from my body. After removing my silver fillings improperly I ended up feeling really sick and nothing else worked for me to remove the mercury from my system. These are quite literally a lifesaver! Kirkman has really good quality products with low dose options for alpha lipoic acid that isn't easy to find. So happy to find them here on iHerb!

The only low-dose ALA iherb carries.

supplement-guru December 10, 2020

This is the only low-dose ALA iherb carries. Most other ALA supplements are in the range of 100-600 mg. You will only find such small amounts of ALA in combination formulas. When it comes to ALA, more is not always better. Start small, watch out for any reactions and always err on the side of caution.

Alpha Lipoic Acid in 25mg, not easy to find!

iHerb Customer January 13, 2022

I require very small doses of Alpha Lipoic Acid for the ACC mercury chelation protocol and these 25 mg capsules allow me to easily and accurately split the capsules' contents into whatever dose I need. Kirkman uses less filler than some other brands which allows for more accuracy when dividing up capsule contents. I've learned the hard way that if you are at all mercury toxic,&/ or have amalgam fillings, using alpha lipoic acid outside of the ACC protocol can be problematic. Really appreciate that iHerb carries this low dose brand.

Definitely works

iHerb Customer August 2, 2023

Bought this after trying a different brand at a much higher dosage and felt like I'd drunk 100 coffees - was way too strong. Even these make me a bit jittery so not sure ALA is for me. If it works for you personally then yes these seem to be quality.

Excellent!

iHerb Customer June 9, 2023

Alpha Lipoic Acid is a powerful and versatile nutrient with antioxidant activity that helps protect the body against free radical damage and, as a result, is a protector of many types of cells and tissues. I like this brand Kirkman Labs and effect of taking it.

iHerb Customer June 13, 2023

This is a great antioxidant and this smaller dose can be hard to find. I love that Kirkman rigorously tests their products and I feel confident that they are pure. If you have diabetic neuropathy, consider taking some alpha lipoic acid. It's good for circulation.

very good

iHerb Customer July 31, 2022

Used it for mercury detoxification according to the andy cutler's protocol. While taking it felt brain fog with addition to other neurological symptoms. That means that mercury is being cleared form the brain. For those starting the protocol it's essential to read andy cutler's book and follow all his guidelines. The 25 mg dosage is too much for begginers. Start with a lower dosage and only after 3 months has passed after taking out all the amalgam fillings. From what I konw iherb doesn't carry lower dosages then 25 mg.

Excellent!

iHerb Customer January 5, 2023

I am taking this every 4 hours around the clock for mercury. It is amazing! I am finally healing! Even my heartburn which is caused by low stomach acid is improving. HG causes low stomach acid. So many symptoms are going away. Thank you IHerb!

Good

iHerb Customer July 1, 2021

This is the only brand I can find online that has smaller than 100 mg doses. It's like any other ALA, which by the way should only be taken strictly based on its half-life, only if you don't have any amalgams, and you never had any drilled out. The reason for that is because your body turns it into a heavy metal chelator. If you are thinking about trying ALA because it is believed to be a great antioxidant, and great for the liver, you need to do some more research first. Also, avoid while pregnant or breast feeding.

Good

iHerb Customer October 24, 2021

Would give 5 stars if someone would sell these in 5, 10 and 12.5mg amounts. But these are great to use and split into smaller amounts when making up your own capsules. These should be used according to half life though as ALA is a Heavy Metal chelator capable of moving mercury from the brain. Andy Cutler Protocol explains it. USE WITH CAUTION.
