My son struggles to fall asleep every night, this small dosage and size has him asleep in around 20 minutes just like his body needs to benefit from. He also loves the fact that it has no strong taste and is chewable, unlike like some other brands.
Brilliant delivery method of the melatonin! This is literally the ONLY product that I could find that has no flavour, and is chewable (my son can't swallow tablets yet). We started with the 1mg patches, but the dose is now too small for him. Instead, he has x4 of these (12mg for his body height and weight as recommended be his paediatrician). He has ADHD, and needs to take melatonin to help him sleep at night. This helps somewhat, and to be honest, is the only option for him other than covering him with patches!!!! If you've read this far, congrats! I'm sure you can tell I highly recommend the Kirkman Labs Melatonin Chewable Tablets.
It is a great quality product. it really works as intended. Will definitely get more soon! Thank you so much for this. it was made of high qualiy ingredients. Plus the packaging and sizes were perfect. over all good quality. i love the smell and the looks of it. im looking forward to purchasing another one!
I've been using Kirkmans 3mg Melatonin for years but can't get it at the moment. So I tried these 1mg tablets, thinking I could always just take 3 of them. However, much to my delight, I find that taking 1 x 1mg tablet seems to work the same way as the 3mg ones do. I've also realised that other brands of Melatonin aren't necessarily as effective as Kirkmans. Must be the quality of the active ingredient I guess. I've been taking Kirkmans Melatonin as needed since I was 50 and going through menopause; I'd wake at 2am every night and stay awake unless I took a melatonin tablet. Saved my sanity back then as I was still working. I'm now 67 and just use it when I sometimes can't get back to sleep. It's natural so a million times better than any sleeping tablet as you always awaken refreshed and without a ‘drug hangover'. The small-sized pleasant-tasting tablet just sort of melts in your mouth but I sometimes chew it up and it works just the same. Massive benefit, and usually well within half an hour. Anyway, excellent product and I ensure I'm never without them.
I don't need this to sleep but to make my sleep better...and because it's just right for dosage...if I need 2 mg, or three, I can control it myself. I have no grogginess in the morning. Pleasant taste, melt or chew. The price is good for the product.
Melatonin has a different effect on each member of family. All fall asleep quickly but some wake up a lot during the night when taking this, so it has an unintended outcome
generally it is an effective product in falling asleep, but I take half a tablet, the dosage should be strictly individual, the only drawback in my opinion is if you open a plastic jar frequently, they lose their taste slightly in contact with air, so it is important to close the package tightly
I've tried this brand once when my regular one was out of stock. I'm happy with it and would order it again. It does say natural mint flavour, but if I hadn't read that oj the label, I'd have said it had no flavour at all, as I can't taste any mint. Not that flavour is an issue, as the quality is more important. Having said that, being no mild to no flavour means it's good for the kids to take when needed. I'd rather give them this type of melatonin instead of the gummy type ones advertised as being for kids, because the sugar content in the gummies is ridiculously high (I'm not sure if it's because I'm from a different country to the USA, but where I'm from, they don't add sugar to children's melatonin or vitamin gummies). I also like the 1mg dosage of this melatonin product, as I can adjust the dosing to what I need on a particular day.
It is like to chew and not to swallow. But the effect was limited.
i used to take 6mg per night so would buy the 3mg. they were out of stock at the time so i switched to 1mg and was going to see how many i would need to take. turns out i still needed to take at least 4 of these to get to sleep. you may be different though. these are also very expensive compared to other brands
