KitchenAid® 3.5 Quart Coated C-Dough Hook, White, KSM35CDH

I bought my KitchenAid with all attachments in April 2025. I use the dough hook once or twice per week for about 10 minutes on low or second lowest speed. The powder coating has chipped multiple times and then it ends up in the dough. The hook itself is durable, the coating is not.

It looked good quality but was half the size of what I needed

Have a had the mixer a few years, only used the dough hook a handful of times, and the coating has chipped away. Now learning the mixer has been phased out and there are no replacement hooks available. this is so disappointing for a pricey machine.

What an awesome product. The chipped enamel from the dough hook was so crunchy. Thought it was an egg shell and found out from my wife that the stupid dough hook had chipped again. Would have scrapped the whole hook bare and eat if it it edible. The quality of this product is completely rubbish. By the way, this is my second dough hook that have added that special crunchy ingredients into the dough. Thanks kitchenaid for this lousy product.

The doh hook came with the mixer and had been used a few times literally but it chips. We were given a replacement but it is chipped. Very disappointed.

I got my kitchen aid as a wedding present in 2021 . However only started making bread in the past couple of months. The dough hook has started peeling and chipping already.I'm sad

Unfortunately after switching from beater to dough hook, it's been chipping at the bottom. The paint ending up in the food. Not good. I've lifted the head but this is not the right height for the beaters and whisk. Very annoying.

Kitchenaid providing delicate enamel coated accessories with such a high end product is ridiculous. I love my Kitchenaid but loathe the enamel accessories. Cooking accessories should be sturdy, not have to be treated like delicate objects. I just bought the stainless steel one and reviews suggest it is so much better than this one. However I have to wait until May as the steel one is out of stock probably due to everyone having to buy one after chipping their enamel one.

I LOVE my mini stand mixer, but sadly the dough hook chipped after a few uses. As I make pizza dough every Sunday this has really made it a tough job to do by hand. I was going to buy a replacement one, thinking I just had been unlucky, then I saw all of the reviews with the same problem. I'd love a stainless steel one to fit the mini.

I bought my Kitchenaid about 2 months ago which came with this dough hook and as other comments have mentioned, the coating has started to chip. This can be dangerous as the coating chipped off into my dough - luckily I was able to find it and remove from the dough. Although it has done its job well for a few weeks, the quality of the coating is poor would not recommend from a safety perspective.
