KitchenAid® 3.5 Quart Coated C-Dough Hook, White, KSM35CDH

We've had our Kitchenaid mixer for a couple of years now and have taken up baking bread about 2 to 4 times per month, so our dough hook gets a good amount of use. So far, I have zero issues. It's been a great accessory, and unlike other reviewers, I've not had any issues with chipping. I should note, I'm not the most gentle home-cook and have banged this hook in the sink washing it many a time including just this afternoon. Maybe there was a bad batch of these made? In either case, I'm a thoroughly satisfied customer!

It looked good quality but was half the size of what I needed

I have had my KA mixer and attachments for a while now but only recently started using the dough hook. Much like others, I have resorted to making most breads and pastries for my family instead of hunting for them in stores due to COVID-19. I noticed my dough hook started chipping and like other reviewers, I stopped using it because I was worried these pieces would get into the food. After reading reviews, it seems there is a flaw in the manufacturing of this product. Given this is a pricy brand, it is disappointing that the quality is poor.

Have a had the mixer a few years, only used the dough hook a handful of times, and the coating has chipped away. Now learning the mixer has been phased out and there are no replacement hooks available. this is so disappointing for a pricey machine.

What an awesome product. The chipped enamel from the dough hook was so crunchy. Thought it was an egg shell and found out from my wife that the stupid dough hook had chipped again. Would have scrapped the whole hook bare and eat if it it edible. The quality of this product is completely rubbish. By the way, this is my second dough hook that have added that special crunchy ingredients into the dough. Thanks kitchenaid for this lousy product.

The doh hook came with the mixer and had been used a few times literally but it chips. We were given a replacement but it is chipped. Very disappointed.

Unfortunately after switching from beater to dough hook, it's been chipping at the bottom. The paint ending up in the food. Not good. I've lifted the head but this is not the right height for the beaters and whisk. Very annoying.

The dough hook chipped on the second or third use. I had to throw away the dough because pieces were in the dough and now have to buy another (won't buy this one). I see reviews from 4 and 5 years ago with the same issue and clearly they haven't fixed it!

I absolutely love my mixer however I am very dismayed with the dough hook. The coating has chipped and flaked off and now, all of a sudden, it won't fit back into the beater shaft. This is very disappointing because I use the dough hook quite often.

We received this as part of our artisan mini mixer as a wedding gift. We have only just opened the box to use and after placing it gently on the counter the dough hook enamel chipped. I'm looking for un-coated options for replacement and it seems there are none. Am I missing any uncoated options that are available for sale?
