Kitchenaid 5-quart BPA-Free Plastic Colander in White with Pistachio Handles

We've had the same colander for years and desperately needed to upgrade. We were pleasantly surprised at how wide and tall this item was when it arrived. So far no food as splashed out of the side and it strains the liquid out perfectly without any food slipping through the holes. Would highly recommend! I received this item, so that I could use and review it. So far I would say this colander is a good size. It has enough room to wash and or strain, without having to worry about veggies, pasta or whatever you may be rinsing falling out. I also like that it is sturdy, it isn't flimsy and the rubber feet adds a nice touch and helps prevent the colander from tipping over. The holes are nice and small, which I appreciate because then I'm not losing half of my pasta noodles while rinsing. The colander is also fairly easy to rinse/wash, and the food particles do not get stuck like they normally would.

I was gifted this item for my honest review. This is a very large and very sturdy colander capable of holding 5 quarts of fruit, vegetables or pasta. This colander is great for heavy batches of root vegetables and pasta. The silicone handles make it easy to grip when full. I think silicone on the bottom would have been a good idea for the product. Although there are feet on the bottom, they do not grip onto the surface because they are a harder rubbery texture. I love the small holes in this colander because I can drain peas or beans without them falling through. I would recommend this product, especially if you cook lots of pasta or can or preserve large batches of vegetables and fruits.

This is a nice big colander. It is well made and the holes are not too big for smaller pasta to slip through.

This colander is well made and I love it. It has rubber coated handles that minimize slipping as well as rubber feet on the bottom to help keep it in place. It is large and perfect for a family size pot of pasta. Dishwasher safe is a plus.

Much bigger than I expected, which is a good thing! Nice, thick quality plastic, good rubber feet to keep it from sliding. Good size holes, haven't lost any food through it unlike some other colanders.

I wasn't sure when I bought this but I love it. It stays in place while draining food. it holds a lot and easy to empty. I would buy this again.
