I had been looking for a new mixer for a while and reading reviews for Kitchenaid Stand mixers. I decided this model would fit my lifestyle the best. I was not disappointed. Last week I had the opportunity to use it for the first time. I made my husband's birthday cake from scratch. It was so easy to use and it worked so much better than my handheld mixer. I didn't have any splatters even without a splatter shield. Also having my hands free to do other things while watching the cake being mixed makes my life easier. I can't forget to mention the quick cleanup. I love how well made the mixer is too. My life just became a lot happier with my new Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. My husband bought this amazing mixer for me as a Christmas gift (after years of not so subtle hinting). I put it to work mixing ingredients to make spinach dip. It is quiet and quick compared to my knock off brand before. I will use a different attachment next time though because I didn't think about the spinach getting stuck in the whisk. I like that it does not have any digital settings, makes me think it'll last longer. I'm looking forward to making delicious food in this high-quality mixer for many years to come! I love KitchenAid, and the way their mixers perform. This review is based solely on my dissatisfaction of the color. I purchased the Cobalt blue, which is also blue pictured on the box. When I opened it, it looks almost Barney purple. The attached picture shows the mixer next to a cobalt blue and white container. I’m so sad, and I’m returning it ASAP. 😞
