I love how well it cooks and that it keeps all of the steam inside of the pot allowing the food to be extra moist, tender and full of flavor. I would most definitely recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always wanted a cast iron dutch oven. This KitchenAid one is great. It has a very nice weight to it. It heats evenly as cast iron does. I cooked a roast in mine when I received it and it came out delicious! I was able to get a beautiful sear on it before putting it in the oven to let it finish cooking. It cleans up easily. I look forward to using this pot often!

I got the Dutch Oven to use while camping and it definitely does it's job. I have used it over an open fire and even in my oven and it works extremely well with no sticking of food.

I've used it a few times and it's easy to use and works great! I can't wait to take it to go camping. A little nervous on the cleaning aspect but youtube will be my friend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found cast iron cookware to be the best esp for camping and when the power goes out. Love how versatile it is to use in or out of the home. I did have to preseason my dutch oven as I had noticed one section got missed. It's not a big issue and it's definitely NOT hard to reseason. Once I reseasoned it, there were no issues. I love how I can use it in the oven, on the stovetop, campfire, or grill. The functionality of any cast iron cookware is unlimited. I do wish this dutch oven had a hanging handle esp when using it at campsites. I highly recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cast iron dutch oven is heavy and thick, it's big enough for large pot of meat and cooking liquid. The cast iron cover is very heavy, and it helps to retain moisture in food very well, and the food comes out moist and soft. It's good for braising, stews, soup, etc. I suggest handle it very careful and completely dry it immediately after each use, although it's pre-seasoned it will still rust easily if exposed in moisture overnight. Also be careful when using it on a glass stove top because it is very heavy!

It did have a tiny bit of rust on the on side of it though and I'm not sure why it would have that if it was brand new.
