Great features Gas Double Oven

enrol52 February 14, 2025

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I've had the range and it's been great. The double oven is really handy when I've had family dinners. My kids have commented that cakes I've baked have been much better than the old oven. Still learning how to proof bread dough but love the feature.

Great options

Xila88 March 7, 2025

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love that there is the option of the double oven. It does get quite warm in the house with both ovens on but that is expected. The only thing I don't like is that the timer does not have a frequent beep when it is finished cooking. If I miss the first beep I often miss things that need to come right out of the oven at that time.

Who knows this 5 burner Gas Double Oven Convection Range???

Rocky February 4, 2016

We bought this 5 burner double-oven convection range no more than two months ago. The grate on the top of the 5 burners covers the entire top of the stove and consists of two pieces. The 5 burners vary in sizes from a 2" and a 3" on the right, a 2" and a 3-1/2" on the left and a 2-1/2" by 8" oval burner in the middle. The stove came with a griddle. I assumed that the griddle would fit on the middle burner to give consistent heating throughout the griddle area. However, from what I've read in the manual (by the way, it covers more than this particular stove), the griddle is placed on the right two burners. That doesn't make sense since you only have a 2" burner in the back. I've tried consistently to determine from KitchenAid how to use the griddle, should it be used on the oval burner, etc., etc. To no avail have I found out how to use the griddle or what is the middle oval burner used for. I think KitchenAid has a problem with what their stoves can really do. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not so nice for the price

Gwendolyn December 14, 2016

I bought this KitchenAid stove as a partner to my KitchenAid refrigerator & dishwasher to complete a beautiful set. I thought the KitchenAid product should be the best, non-commercial brand there is, but unfortunately there are some short comings. First, they piece is beautiful!! 5-burners, 2 ovens, stainless beauty! I was is kitchen heaven. Until I tried to clean the stove. The stainless scratches so easily, and no matter how careful I am, it is constantly being scratched. The grates are so heavy, and due to the way they lock together on the range, they scratch the top of the stove every single time I take them off & on, and believe me -- I am ridiculously careful. Burned food does not come off of the top, and burn marks have remained on my stove since day one. The top oven is too shallow for any kind of roasting pan. Also, when you slide out the shelf in the top oven, it lays on the door, and slides/scratches the oven door. The broiler is ONLY in the top oven, so you can NEVER broil a large pot or pan. This is very impractical. The lower over is very very low. You need to bend, and picking up any heavy pot from the lower oven is difficult as it is a deep bend to the floor. The stovetop burners are not large enough for large pots. If there is a large pot on one burner, you can't use the other burner. And the pots do not sit centered on the burner...especially the back burners. They sit too closely to the back of the range. All in all, this is a poorly designed range/oven, and very very impractical for someone who loves to cook, bake, and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I would never recommend this oven to anyone!! And I would look for a different brand, as I am not impressed. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Don't

Bryan January 13, 2017

We wanted to purchase a high-end stove because we cook quite a bit. Well, we've had this stove a little over a year now. It looks good, but after that it's all down hill. Burner configuration doesn't work well especially if you use 12"+ skillets. The rear controls are set too close (low) to the cooktop causing even medium-sized pans to hit the controls before being centered on the flame. Burner control is poor; you have to look at the flame size because the knob graduations don't produce the expected size flame at each burner. In other words, a knob set on the medium line doesn't give you a medium flame compared to when the knob is set at high. The two ovens do not heat the same...350 in the top is not the same as 350 in the bottom. The broiler is a complete waste of time...the flame is way too small and the door must be closed to use it. I can live with the door having to be closed but the flame size is poor engineering causing it to be unuseable. The timer control is also poorly engineered...when the timer expires, you get a single beep once per minute. If you are not standing next to it (or busy with preparations), you often won't hear it (the timer has other annoying idiosyncrasies that are difficult to put into words, but trust me, you'll dislike the timer). You select the over on the far left but you start/stop the oven on the far right. There is no "cancel" button if you make a typo entering temperatures...your only choice is to turn off the oven and start over...again this is hard to explain, but you'll find out what I'm talking about after you use it for a while. Overall, this stove seems to have be designed by engineers that don't cook passionately. It is rare that we don't utter the phrase "I hate this stove" when we are cooking meals more complex than macaroni and cheese. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Love hate relationship

Cooking mama of 6 October 22, 2015

I love top oven, it heats quick and is my go to. The bottom, not so much. It doesnt hold the temp, cooks unevenly, and the convection is a big disappointment, totally useless, and ruins all my baking. Plus all my pans slide of the back of the rack into the bottom of the oven, which is disgusting and frustrating. Top burners are nice, except the middle burner is useless. The grates are heavy and thick, but scratched the stainless. The whole display and buttons are not easy to learn and use, even when you figure it out. I love my mixer, which is in daily use for over 15 years, so this brand seemed like a no brainer when we updated our new home, but I was very disappointed, and let down. Dont Buy

CanadaJoe1234 December 5, 2025

Does not work when power is out. Two of the burners can't boil water with out a lid. Oven temp is inconsistent. Routine cleaning takes off all the labels. Range burners are too close and cant fit normal sized pots beside each other

Stay away from Kitchenaid appliances!!

Dom December 7, 2016

We first purchased this appliance in June of 2016. In late October 2016, we noticed shards of blue porcelain interior flaking from top of upper oven. A technician came to inspect and advised us that the range would have to be replaced which caused a great inconvenience to us as we did not have use of the range for Thanksgiving. We also purchased a dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator at the same time as the range and each appliance has already required a service visit. Very poor quality to say the least. I would have given zero stars if I could. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
