I got it for my wedding 4 years ago, and I couldn't be happier. I'm a professional cook and got pregnant 4 years ago and became a stay at home mom, I really didn't want to loose all my knowledge and practice in the kitchen. I use it almost every day and after 4 years is still in great shape (other than cosmetic scratches, it works like the first day). I've noticed it gets a little warm after an hour of use, but if that's the only problem I would take it any day. Because of the amounts of food or the cakes I bake I wish I had a 5 QT. Or bigger but it still works for me. I love this and the day it stops working I would definitely buy a new one
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I keep it on my counter always so then it is handy at all times. I work full time out of town, so supper can be ready faster if for instance I choose to mash potato then it is so easy to drop them in and turn the mixer on for a minute literally! I also love to bake on the weekends and it can whip up cream cheese so fast and simply. My arms used to get tired mixing big or thick mixtures - no more! I do wish the bowl was bigger as I usually make double batches of everything with being a working mother. Should include a splatter screen for baking as dry products fly every where. Mixer is easy to take apart and clean and not a lot of parts.
The Classic Plus 4.5 Qt mixer was a want, not a need. I was too cheap to invest in the Kichenaide, simply beause I couldn't justify the cost against the amount of use it would get. I am 64 yrs old and managed to cook and bake with a hand mixer without the Kitchenaide. Some of my recipes call for a lot of mixing and now that I have it, my time in the kitchen is simply wonderful! I've only had this a short time and my first recipe was making a peanut butter frosting and it came out like silk. I make a killer cheesecake and there is a lot of mixing that goes into each addition. Also, the 7 minute frosting may truely be only 7 minutes using this product. Bread is next on the list. Every person I know that owns one will keep it forever. So will I...
I got this machine recently and I think this is a must in every kitchen. I am very happy with this machine.
I have been coveting a KitchenAid stand mixer for some time. I've only used it a handful of times since I bought it a month ago, but I'm VERY much looking forward to using it come the holiday season for bread and cookie making! It's exactly what I wanted. I also cannot wait to pick up the many great attachments!
I got this as a gift. I would never have thought of buying one for myself but I have to say I love it and find it very useful. It makes baking easier, faster and definately less clean up. This is a great mixer because of the bowl size. If it were any smaller it would be too small. It handles recipes calling for 3 cups of flour - but any more and it would definately make a mess.
I splurged and bought this for myself for Christmas. I find myself using it all the time. From the expected baking treats, but also for pancakes for breakfast and mixing up my meatloaf. I don't know why I waited so long to get this mixer. It's great!
I bought this as a Chritmas present for myself. I love it I have been making meringue, snockerdoodle cookies, breads, cakes. I can't stop cooking. I look forward to the weekenda because its when I can use my standmixer to make something new. I have always wanted one and now I can make so many different thinga I have always wanted to make.
I received my kitchen aid as a Christmas present from my daughter and just love it. I never liked making cookies because I hated making the batter because it is always so hard to stir by hand. Now that has changed since I have the kitchen aid. I use it all the time. Now I try to think of recipies to make so I can my kitchen aid.
My husband bought me this stand mixer for Christmas. I have been wanting one for forever. When I finally got it I decided to make a cheesecake for the Christmas dessert at my parents house the next day. I washed the bowl several times but it kept turning my cream cheese gray! After reading many reviews on this and going through countless packages of cream cheese, I discovered that something was used to shine the bowl up and it needed to be scrubbed with bar cleaner first. My husband, who is strong, had to scrub it several times with the bar cleaner to get the residue off. Needless to say, by the time we did all this it was too late to make my dessert and I was out of cream cheese, grrr! I recommend you send a packet of the cleaner with this product if you are going to continue to manufacture it this way!
