I had an Artisan stand mixer for years, but when I started baking for a coffee shop I decided I needed a little more power so I bought this commercial grade mixer. It is so much better for my use than I anticipated. I especially love the slow-on and the stainless paddle.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Bosch & smaller kitchenaid but this mixer is a game changer. The varying speeds available and the smooth operation has made a huge difference in productivity and product outcomes. I'm thrilled I made the investment!
Purchased for my wife as a replacement for the third stand mixer she has wore out since 1986. That being said she loves the 8 qt capacity and the power to mix everything easily without ingredients flying out of the bowl. Her only issue is the additional weight of this mixer compared to her previous models. All in all she is extremely pleased with this mixer and would recommend purchasing the commercial model for anyone who does a lot of baking st home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought for my husband birthday, he loved so much. For Christmas 2025 he made 5000 cookies (friend and family). Thanks for great design, and great result! Happy New Year Kitchen Aid!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to this model a month ago and loving the larger bowl capacity. The motor is also super quiet compared to the 6qt one I have which I did not expect at all. Only negative is I wish the lift handle had a grip on it so it was more comfortable to my hand when using it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this mixer! I've used this mixer for double and triple batches of cookie dough and bread dough. It also works well whipping cream and egg whites. The bowl is deeper than the 6 quart mixer so I had to purchase longer handled rubber spatulas.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised that the base is hollow, and not steady like all my other previous stand mixers, which makes it a little unsteady for the money I expected. And something so simple to not leave the little apparatus on the knob that allows you to lift was a shock. Now I'm desperately searching how to get the little black knob at the end of the handle, but it it does the work exactly as I had expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this thinking it would be so much better and stronger than my other Kitchen Aid Mixer because it was commercial. It works but it's not great. It walks all over the counter, I have to stand there and hold it in place. It knocks like crazy. I've adjusted the height of the beaters like the instructions say to do, but it still isn't right. And it doesn't handle my doughs well at all. I have had 3 Kitchen Aid Mixers. This is my first commercial one. I am looking into different brands now since the quality of kitchen aid has gone down so much.
In the past two years we have seen this mixer fail several times and have had to replace the motor assembly and it still doesn't perform properly. It seems that the motor is not strong enough to actually be a commercial unit.
Bought this to be able to make larger batches of dough. It worked well until the mounting ear on the side of the bowl broke off. I see that some of the other non-commercial models have a larger mounting flange and 3 spot welds but this one has a smaller less sturdy mounting system on the bowl. Looking everywhere for a replacement bowl but they don't seem to have one for the "commercial" model. I wanted to love this unit like my other KitchenAid products but don't think it is sturdy enough to be worth the extra money.
