I bought this set because I was tired of having to buy a new set of nonstick almost every year. I had never tried stainless and thought I would give it a try since I was getting a good deal on a set. So happy that I did. The best purchase I have ever made. I have told all my friends about my experience.
I have this entire set and absolutely love cooking with them. The tri-ply took a little getting used to because you cook on lower temperatures than you're used to with thin pans, but once you know what you're doing they're amazing. Durable and seem to last forever! If I ever have to replace my pans, it will be this set all over again
i received these for christmas from my husband and i love them. i wanted some that matched but did not stick when you started cooking. Well thesse do the job perfectly. i have cooked sticky cheese in some of the pans and not one time did it stick and ruin my pans. they also havent scratched at all.. i love these and finally have found a product that i can use that wont ruin after a few months.
We've had this pot and pan set for a little over a year. The red has started to flake off of the outside of the pans very badly! While the construction of the pan is fine, the little red flakes find their way everywhere in the kitchen- including the food you're cooking sometimes.
they shipped me a different kitchenaid set than the one pictured and will not refund or exchange it for the correct one. bait %26 switch at its finest.
I was super excited for those pans, I fried the egg in on of the pans and everything from outside started to peel and burn. This is only after one use! Returning this.
Almost Everything sticks to the pans. You have to soak and scrub to get off food. We purchased because they were stainless steel. Kitchenaid ads don't tell you there is aluminum under the stainless steel. When the thin layer of stainless steel is scrubbed away because of everything sticking to pans, you are exposed to aluminum.
We've had this pan set for a while now and overall they were ok until we were making dinner in the medium skillet pan. All of a sudden we heard an extremely loud pop. Come to find out one of the rivet covers connecting the handle burst off and shot through the air. Thankfully I was wearing a thick robe because it was embedded in the sleeve. It frightened me since my husband and newborn were also in the kitchen with me. Someone could have really gotten hurt and we are thankful that no one did. I'm not sure what caused this to happen since there was no visible issues with this pan. Now I am nervous to use any other pot or pan from this set. Next time I will definitely purchase a set that does not have handles that are riveted.
I have tried using my set several times as I love the style and thought that with its structure it would be great. The saucepans it doesn't matter if you use oil or butter your food will stick, burn and not cook. Also, the butter sticks to the pan. It doesn't matter what grade of heat you use. Even on low it will do the same thing. The pots do the same thing. I have boiled pasta in the pots and add a little of oil to prevent sticking as well as stirribg occasionally and when draining the pasta you see the pasta stuck to the bottom on the pan. They look amazing but when it comes to cooking, im my opinion, it's not worth the money. I had to run out and get a new set of pots and pans since these were no good. I ended up trashing the whole set. It wasn't even worth giving ot to someone who would need it.
I ordered the red set. It says candy apple red and the one I got which took longer than I thought it would was stainless steel.
