Replace your white coated beater
Good replacement for the original white enamel coated beater, which flaked. Hopefully this one lasts.

Made well, works great!
Works great, fits well. I tried a knock off stainless beater and that didn’t fit well. Got this and has worked very well for us. No need to worry about a coating to flake off anymore.

Chipped Beater
I bought my KitchenAid mixer years ago and have absolutely loved using it but the coating on my flat beater is coming off and I am afraid to use it anymore because the chipped coating is probably going to end up in my food. I considered ordering the new Stainless Steel flat beater but am reading in the Reviews that it is too short to reach the bottom of the bowl. I don't know what to do.

Black residue!
I love my stand mixer and have found a great use of shredding chicken UNTIL black residue was coming off of the flat beater! Even by only hand washing it is ruined and scared to use for safety of the food! Very disappointed!

2nd paddle already chipping
It's insane to me that there is almost 100% 1 star reviews over the same issue and yet they reply with the same message every time and have not addressed the issue. I am on my second coated paddle and it started to flake and chip within weeks of receiving it. I do not want to spend money to purchase a 3rd stainless steel paddle but I feel forced to in order to keep using my mixer.

beware of the attachments chipping in your food
I love my kitchenaid mixer but my flat beater and dough hook are chipping. I have continued to use it but now read that it has lead. I would like these attachments replaced immediately. Why would kitchenaid, that is suppose to be top quality, put out a dangerous product such as this.

Too small for mixer model K5SS
This item does not work with the K5SS model mixer. The beater does not reach to bottom of bowl and fails to properly mix the batter.

Beater Attachment Fail
Love my kitchen aid, but have the same problem with this beater attachment. The white coating started chipping off, so went on here to find that the stainless option isn't getting better reviews. Is there a resolution for this?
