This is simply the best butter dish I have ever used. The seal when you close the lid is great and the dish is large enough for 2 regular sticks of butter or one large stick. The only thing I wish they had was a hand grip on top of the lid so you didn't have to grab the entire lid to lift off...........but this is not really an issue. The dish also cleans up very easily.
My previous butter dish came with a knife that rests on top of the lid. The issue with that is that it looks messy and constantly has to be cleaned. What I love about this dish is that the knife stays inside, and there is a knife scraper section to get rid of excess butter so that it looks clean. The design is sleek and closes tightly. I definitely recommend!
This is a great butter dish. Nice quality plastic. Has a sealing ring which keeps the butter fresh. This means that you are going to have give it a little tug to open it. But no more lid sliding around and clanking like the pretty glass dish I'd been using. This one has marks for tablespoons so you don't have to pluck out a new stick of butter when you need 2 TBS so you'll have marks to look at. Price is good too. You'll probably want to keep Granny's heirloom for holidays but you'll use this butter dish the rest of the year. Haven't put it in the dishwasher yet, but it says it is dishwasher safe.
I purchased this butter dish with the knife to replace a glass dish (one of several) that i have broken. It was packaged well, and is constructed well and is easier to cut the butter on than a glass dish. The cover seals well so the butter won't absorb any refrigerator odors and is very easy to clean The only thing that i didn't like is the measurement numbers are very hard for me to read. I think that making the numbers a different color or raising the numbers would have helped, but that does not take the functionality of the dish away.
The wife and I just love it. It says on the table when you use it it doesn't fall around well built very happy. The one I got a couple weeks ago from you. It's in the garbage doesn't pay to buy something cheap and this was a good price good quality Recommend it very highly.
It works great in our ice chest, while camping. It keeps ice water out of the butter. The lower part has an inset rubber gasket so it seals up perfectly.
This butter dish is nice. It's clear so you can see how much butter is in it without removing the lid. It opens easily but the seal is air tight and cat proof.
It has a sleek, attractive design but that means little if it is not functional. Mine is white with the clear cover, It easily accommodates two sticks of butter with a "rise" at either end to keep the butter from sliding away making getting the butter a one hand operation. The cover has a good seal tight but not so snug that it requires more than one hand to remove. I'm not sure if the base is non-skid but so far that has not been an issue. It says "dishwasher safe" so as long as it survives that without anything separating I'd say it's ideal for my purposes. I have butter dishes thay hold from one stick to a full pound, this one hits the "sweet spot" for me. I've used others (similar) that come with a little knife/spreader nestled in the lid but what to do with it once it is used and buttery? Put it back in the cover? More mess? Yes, thus far, I'd describe this one as "the best of the rest", good luck with yours!
The length of the container is to long and won't fit on the refrigerator door ! Where the butter has been kept for many years ! In multiple other containers made by other manufactures with no problems!
The ai question boxed was asked if knife was included. it stated that multiple reviewers said that a butter knife is included. I was extremely disappointed to find this not to be true.
