When I see butterfly clips like this, I think of the ones they use at the salon to cut your hair & the clips only hold a little bit of your hair. When I used these clips, they held all of my hair flipped up into a twist (I have shoulder length medium thick hair) and the clips held most of the day before I had to readjust. Even with my daughter playing, dropping & doing whatever kids do to things, none of the clips broke.

One of them was cracked. They are not very sturdy. The plastic is not sturdy.

These are lightweight clips. They work good for my medium thickness hair, but I don't think they could hold any thicker hair. Also how they were packaged, they are slightly bent open on their right sides, so they don't sit flush, which is kind of annoying. Overall, they do the job.

Very cheap and not strong.
