I love great tools, and this is one of them! With this wire stripper, you can effortlessly strip wire in tight spots (such as tight to a terminal or junction box). Also, you can easily strip long sections of wire, for when you need more bare conductors to wrap around screws or terminals. The best part is that this tool strips wiring, without pulling on the wire! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Can't go wrong with Klein tools. I love this one.
One hand strip. Center wire tie-in splice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas present and it's made my life so much easier I love the fact I can strip Romex then strip conductors inside
The tool is great if you are right handed. Like many people, my opposing hand is worth FA. I wish these things were made to where I could use them with with my left hand.
It takes few times before it strips wire not fan off the plastic wire stop
"Self adjusting" - NOPE, Work as they should - NOPE. Belong in the trash -YES These "self adjusting" wire strippers worked about 20 percent of the time, regardless of the manual adjustment. These were unable to properly strip or cut 16 - 18 AWG wire. I don't have the time to struggle with my tools. Will no longer be buying ANY klein tools. These are absolute garbage, the last photo shows them in the trash can, where they belong.
I have had two of these now and they both do the same thing. I'm cutting basic solid 12g THHN and both of these that I have (both new) will not hold down on the wire hard enough to cut the insulation and separate it. The wire just keeps sliding through the head. The "tension" screw (or should I say lack there of tension screw) is as tight as it will go. They work if you push down on the grabber above the cutter blade as you are squeezing the handle. Well, if you have to do that you may as well go back to old style stripper. JUNK...!!!
I was attracted to these strippers because of the action. they worked fine for a few days then the stop adjusting screw broke off. after awhile no matter how I set the tension they became very inconsistent when stripping #12 thhn solid. seemed like a good idea but just not up to Klein standards.
