Klein Tools 1515-S Cable-Sheath Splitting Knife

There are many different ways to cut the sheathing off of cables and I've probably tried most of them if not all of them. But this little tool here does the trick better than the rest, it's faster, easier, and still gives you that hands on precision that sometimes is necessary. I'd be lost without it

Being in the steel industry, most of the cable I have to strip is low gauge multi-conductor. This knife takes a lot of the hassle away from using my utility knife, and worrying if the blade I have in it is sharp enough to get through. The chiseled edge lets me cut and not worry about piercing the jacket on the conductors inside. Fantastic product!

This works way better than a utility knife. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt to strip xhhw or old aluminum seu/ser when doing a panel change. This knife makes work much easier
